HP 15-CS Laptop - How To Remove HDD and Install SSD

In this video, I show you how to take apart the HP 15 CS series laptop, open the housing, swap out the HDD hard disk drive for a SSD solid state drive to make my laptop fast and put it back together again.
as well as create a Windows recovery disk, reinstall Windows from the recovery disk and get your PC back in working order as quick as possible after installing the new solid-state drive.
even if your laptop is not a15c s series, this video applies to a lot of laptops in the same Hewlett-Packard family of laptops, this is the newest version of the house laptop series.
if you only need to know how to open or take apart the laptop then that is the first part of the video you can stop there, putting it back together is the reverse order of taking it apart.

My i5-cs0053cl is identical to this, but doesn't have the dual fan setup...but it has the space for it. Has anyone upgraded to the dual fan that is shown on this video? I know 2 fans would be louder but also cooler I'd think...

the blue one has a gpu in it and the silver one is just integrated graphics the blue one is also more expensive

My upgrade went as per your demo except the recovery step process failed at about 10%. I was able to hook up the old HD via a USB housing and clone it to the SSD. Everything works great and the PC is nice and "snappy fast". :) Thank you very much for posting this. Fantastic demo.

By far the best instruction I have seen out of at least 9 - 11 videos that I've watched. My laptop is very similar. 14" version and I actually am sitting here having purchased the same SSD yesterday. I did make the recovery stick today. Great detailed steps here. Bought another RAM chip to stick in the empty slot I have. I see you have two, probably 8G each.

The SATA ribbon cable is reletively easy to remove from the motherboard, Just lift up on the retaining tab and pull it out. I'd recommend you do this before attempting to pull the harddrive out and disconnecting the main SATA end. Less likely to damage cable/motherboard connector. ;)

Could I put a 1tb or less ssd in the machine or piggyback an ssd as mentioned below for speed for the other things I do such as websearch etc, really don't need massive storage at all, reason I ask is a friend who is a wrinkly nerd like me but is a computer whizz says I need to have equivalent ssd to do info transfer from hard drive.
