Thank you for giving me a specific base line of the process. Other tutorials only say how the tool works but don't teach me how to use it. 1:00 Others say reducing to the point I see fit while I don't even know what I would see fit. Just a base line 40% as how you're doing it and I can increase/decrease later to my taste. I hope you can make more specific tutorials like this in the future.
@uncrowned0
@uncrowned0 9 месяцев назад
Thank you! :D I certainly will make more in the future. Remember that this guide is for the "simple" variation of hair shading. There are many other styles and processes, so "what you see fit" will always depend on your own drawing. :)

Hi. Since this seems to be the style I want to achieve, could you do more tutorials on how to color/shade the other body parts? Face and clothes? It would be very helpful because this is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, although a little quick. Thank you.

Thank you, I appreciate your kind words! Indeed, I am currently working on a couple of guides related to this style, however, it might take some time. I really want to make sure that the quality exceeds my previous guides for your viewing pleasure. ^_^

this is a really good tutorial, can you please make a tutorial for your smooth line art? i find that my line art looks a little too thick
@uncrowned0
@uncrowned0 10 месяцев назад
Thank you! I will make one in the future, no worries :) For now, I can recommend you to use the pencil/g-pen at stock settings, but keep the brush size down to 4-6 pixels(at 350 dpi A4 canvas)

I also have a few questions, 1. Do you keep the line art and colors in separate folders? 2. If so do you duplicate each line art line hair eyes etc in the color folder to clip them and also keep the full main line art separate so you could edit it later? 3. How to arrange the line art and color folders? does line art comes at the top or color comes at the top?
@uncrowned0
@uncrowned0 9 месяцев назад
1. Yes 2. No, except for the eyelashes and eyebrows, which you need to do so in order to make them semi-transparent beneath the hair. 3. Lineart is usually above the coloring folder, however, certain elements can be left above the lineart if they overlap or cause confusion.

this is a really good tutorial, how do you pick your shading colors?
@uncrowned0
@uncrowned0 10 месяцев назад
Thank you! :D I usually pick a slightly unsaturated base color, then move a couple of "steps" to the right in saturation, and a couple of "steps" down in brightness. Then move the color wheel towards the coolest/coldest available color(usually blue) by about 10-20%. However, when shading gray hair, I like to add in a bit of magenta to the overall colors (like in this example). :)

Can you make a tutorial for clip studio paint?
@uncrowned0

Maybe, but I prefer Sai. It is also easier to follow along for everyone, since Sai is a lot simpler program than CSP, with way fewer brushes, filters, and so on. :)

Wow, that was so useful 😊. I have a question: I want to start a new channel about digital painting tutorials. But I'm afraid that I won't get any views😢. Well, this is your first video, and it's getting good attention. Can you please tell me what is the secret of your success?😍🙂
