I have purchased several ActionVFX products as doing cgi is a hobby for me, I am not in the VFX business, they are great, so when I knew they were doing a sale, I couldn't not buy and take advantage of it. I want to do the best compositing that I can so ActionVFX stock footage elements allows me a chance to do this. The guys are especially helpful and if you need a question answered Joe, the marketing guy makes a point of following up when you order to see you are happy and how he can help you further. It is a good company.

+RodyPolis guys this is a solid tutorial. At first I thought oh yeah this is going to be pretty straight forward but you really used the tools in +Hitfilm to bring that shot alive. Loved the simplicity of the fire light cast layer which I though was going to be complicated but no it was not but looked great. Like everything once you know what you are doing some great effects can be produced and now we know some more stuff.. thanks guys.

It's been a long time since I've seen a new Rody tutorial. As always, excellent! What a great way to be celebrating the full Action VFX launch! As a Kickstarter backer, I've already been able to download and use these elements, and they are very much superior to my Action VFX, Digital Juice and VideoBlocks stock. The Triune packs are also excellent, but Action VFX already has more variety.

I've got a question. If I have a fixed camera (physical camera that I use to record the shot) and a picture of the background before anything moves, is there any way to use the picture as a green screen (find changes between picture and video and remove anything that is constant)?

You can find lots of tutorials on our channel discussing basics in HitFilm Express (like editing, adding effects, color adjustments, etc.). I can give you a tutorial for a jump cut right here. 1. Slice your video clip at the start of the bit that you want to remove. 2. Move the playhead to the end of the section you want to remove. 3. Slice the clip again there. 4. Delete the section between the two cuts. 5. Close the gap. That's it. A jump cut is basically just removing a section from the middle of a continuous video clip. If you want to create a jump cut using more than one clip, then just make sure the camera moves very little between one take and the next. I hope that helps!

ummm help me... hitfilm... when i got the installer i installed it and it didn't crate a icon for it so i would have to uninstall it and then re-download it and click start when done and it still hasn't crate a icon or anything like that for hitfilm so pls send help :((

All of those options are included in the free version of HitFilm 4 Express, so you are good to go!

At My HitFilm is a letter: ``You are running in demo mode therefore you can only export up to 30 seconds or footage. Do you want to continue`` How can I switch to the full version and does not cut in the demo version ?

+HitFilm Im trying to do some 3d stuff n too complex...n i think it can be done entirely in hitfilm.......so basically Im doing a shrt film on A.I. n I want the AI to be a small circular sifi type ball...which always follow its master n project hologram on command.... can u do a scene in which u teach composting 3d ball in video realistically n hologram coming out of it.....plzzzz

You can show and hide individual panels of the interface using the View menu at the top of your screen, where you can also switch your workspace.

Sorry to hear you're having some trouble. What seems to be going wrong? If they're not blending correctly, try playing around with the various blend modes to see which works best. For this shot I simply added a Grade layer above all the other layers, then applied the Motion Blur effect to that layer. That then cause all layers below to have some form of motion blur.
