It's is so much fun to throw on some headphones and skate/sway to the beat like this! I've been skating outside for 3+ hours a day, 4-5 days a week (with music of course) and have "naturally" learned to skate like this. Good music is essential for me though! I had a stroke 10 yrs ago which still affects my balance. It's so much easier and feels so much more stable to leave both feet on the ground like this at all times. Thanks for teaching this Nicole! You do such a great job explaining everything!

I completely agree! One of the best feelings 💗 I am so happy that you’re skating so much. Wow! And working through any changes in balance. That’s really awesome. Thank you for sharing and for your kind words. I really appreciate it! I hope we’re both cruisin’ for a long time to come 🥰

Omg thank you for this!! You and Dirty Deb are the only two that have a cruising stride tutorial and it seems to be pretty important for outdoor staking! Thank you again!!

As an absolute beginner with a balance disorder, your videos have been so amazing for me Nicole. Thank you!!! I got so disheartened seeing so many "I learnt to skate in a week" videos from other creators. I thought there was something wrong with me. But going through each of your tutorials in order has helped me see that taking time is absolutely ok! Xx thank you!

Love your tutorials ❤️❤️ I’ve watched this one a few times, and I’m going to practice in the rink. Also adding the stroking drills you showed us. You’re a great instructor 😊 Thank you.

Love your tutorials! Do you have any drills or suggestions for practicing skating on one foot? I come from a dancing background and can balance and do turns on one foot...but with skates ya girl is struggling lol!

I love your videos! I'm chubby and need to get my weight down to have top surgery as part of my transition from female to male (lost 10lbs, 15 more to go!). Your videos help encourage me to skate and work out with so much passion. Thank you for being amazing!

Thanks so much! I’ve been trying to get this for so long. The thing about using the inside edge to pull in a semi circle unlocked it for me. At last!

Thanks so much for making these videos! I'm the kind of person who needs a lot of detailed instructions for anything movement-related so yours are super helpful. I've tried to do this kind of cross in front skating outside but I feel like I really have to crank my skates in and when I check my legs they're still kind of parallel or the feet are barely overlapping. I also feel way more unstable doing this than regular gliding or half-scissors. Is this just something that comes with more flexibility and practice?

I am able to cruise about once on each leg and then run out of momentum. I have tried shifting my body weight to make myself go faster, but no luck. I have just started skating and I thought maybe the reason I’m losing momentum is bc my legs aren’t strong enough yet. Any tips would help

Hey Nicole I need help lol I am trying to decide between 3 wheels. Should I get sure grip fame, roll line ice wheels, or roll line super speed wheels. Please help which would you choose?
@ThatNicoleFiore
@ThatNicoleFiore 4 года назад
MyNamesSabrea roll line ice is my favorite indoor wheel! But I like fame if you will be skating outside a lot. Are you skating inside or outside?
@MyNamesSabrea
@MyNamesSabrea 4 года назад
That Nicole Fiore both! Sometimes im outside and other times im inside but I really want to learn artistic skating so I want to try to do indoor more. I wish I lived where you did so you could coach me:( im in new jersey and we dont have that here so I would have to learn by myself

This is great! I’m wondering how to safely skate forwards outside while on an incline, between this staggered stance skating. I usually slalom down hill but could easily faceplant while going uphill. Do you have a tutorial for this?
@ThatNicoleFiore
@ThatNicoleFiore 4 года назад
Hmm that would be a great one to make, thank you! I typically would push off using my toe stops and use them to stabilize as I go uphill
@Shelleycwood
@Shelleycwood 4 года назад
@@ThatNicoleFiore good idea! If you do make one, could you address mild inclines vs steep? Many of the hills I skate aren’t super steep but I’m not able to do the staggered stance you suggest without adding some ooomph. I’ll try the toe stop pushes tomorrow!
