This week is Tech Shop, Tech Talk, err something like that...
I love my Uher 4000 Report Monitor but its connectors are a bit strange for the typical home recordist in 2021. We are used to 1/4", XLR and 3.5mm plugs and jacks.
Come with me as I struggle through poor German pronunciations, confusing terminology and my own lack of focus as I solve the problem of hooking up an OP-1 (for example) to my Uher 4000 Report Monitor. Ideally you will learn how to think through not just this problem but similar ones for gear you might get your hands on. And specifically you could use this as a recipe for how to hook up your own Uher with similar or same connectors!
You can find the box I used here:
prospeakerparts.com/collectio...
The only other parts are 2 TRS jacks and 1 MIDI jack. Both need to be D-series style to mount to the box.
Thanks for watching, and as always, if you like what you see please subscribe here and on Bandcamp where I release all my music.
Bye!
