for anyone who’s xbox still wont connect, you have to buy a wireless n network adapter for xbox 360 and that will instantly fix the issue it’s around $40 but it’s worth it if you still want to use your 360
this is the first video that actualyl offered any solution. every other video just does what i already been tryna do its pissing me off lol THANK YOUUU
For anyone wondering, if you’re connecting to the network but it won’t go any further, just go to the dashboard and click the guide button on your controller and then click “connect to Xbox live” Worked for me first try
We bought an xbox 360 for $50 bucks the other week for RU-vid and old games. Works on Ethernet, hot spot, etc. but not my home wifi. Gonna try this tonight. 🤞
You sir, are a genius. I don't know how you thought of this, but it finally worked. I had tried everything. And it never worked. Microsoft should hire you because no Microsoft tech knows this magic trick about the 350 failed internet connection problem.
Thank you, brother! I was worried I had perma-locked myself out of my own router, but your video was a God-send! And all because you're no longer allowed to redeem cards on-console anymore. God bless!
Awesome, I'm so happy it worked for you. A lot of people updated their router, and now they are not able to hook back up. I just use a cable to connect now or my phone hotspot.
@@JoeRetroWorld cuz I would think the short passage of time wouldn't effect circumstances THAT much. But then again, perhaps our circumstances our different enough to make a difference.
Hello sir I know there’s videos old but thank you I had that problem I was about to throw my 360 out the window you have a good day and thank you again
Is there a way to fix the MTU Error? This happens no matter the GHz or if I’m wireless, using the wireless adapter, or wired in! I’m using a 250 GB Xbox 360 S.
I found this beautiful girl in the trash. I have a video cleaning it up and testing it. It took almost 2 years of always looking around. You will find one.
TY I am going to try this. I did everything else and Even the Internet provider couldn't help. I cleared the cache, removed firewall, etc. And I restored back to Factory Default. Ethernet doesn't work either.
Mine says I need an adapter or Ethernet it's an Xbox 360 E just bought it today to play some old games online can't get in the Series s don't know what to do now @@JoeRetroWorld
My slim is connecting to the modem so the 'network' is good but the internet says failed and xbox live says blocked. Its happening when i connect to the home router and the hotspots which it never use to do before. How can i fix this?

I did tried doing that but it doesn’t work. However Ethernet cable does work tho. The problem with my cable is that it’s not that long enough and the cable goes from the router at the tv to my bedroom.
Ok so I followed every step in the video and I have the network adapter connected but I have a newer wireless TMobile router so I’m not sure if maybe it is not WPA2 or why it still is not connecting. I tried the no security, WPA passphrase, and WPA2 and still my Xbox 360 will not connect. Please if anyone has any advice please HELP😂
Also I have the little check in the corner of my Wi-Fi account in the available networks but it is not actually connected to Wi-Fi. I’ve never had a Xbox either so I don’t know what the Xbox live is and if I need to setup and account and/or pay for it.
@Bloodhound-wrestling if you use a ethernet cable then you don't need to hook up with wifi. You are connected automatically when you plug in the cable to the back of the xbox360. Do you understand what I am saying?
My only problem is that my router is 5g only, so even this won't work. Could I still use an ethernet cable to get online? I don't want to buy one until I'm absolutely sure
Turns out the ethernet cable didn't work, but thankfully I managed to connect my 360 to my mobile hotspot. Didn't even know I could do that until today
It used to work for mine but I don't know what happened I was using my sister's 4g tablet phone hotspot and it worked for awhile but I tried to use again but didn't connect to internet
I'm lossing every hope to connect my xbox live for the first time, i try to do what theese type if video shows, but it only connects and don't give me internet and live, something isn't working here sadly
@user-nc6sf5gt4q it is way easier to do. You only have to plug in cable, and it works. You have to buy a special router, hook it up. Activate it before you can play. That's why people use cable.
@JoeRetroWorld I'll try the wireless option you did first before buying LAN. I think what I did was what most people did, have xbox Auto, find it, and then put password in. And since modern routers have 4g and 5g, it can't think which to use. I wanna do this because I personally want to go on a nostalgia trip, and tbh Xbox nowadays is lacking in the stuff I loved about them 15 years ago.
so I just bought a Xbox 360 slim and I’m now trying to get connected to the Internet and stuff and it gave me a test failed error and that it told me that the network and Xbox live is blocked
You can call your cable provider and see if they have a different wifi router that is compatible. I know for a fact that the wifi Hotspot on your phone will work. I hope you can get it working.
You will need one like this. www.ebay.com/itm/364879889231?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=bxljwogds7g&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=rwRG_CrBTjq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Please try this method to connect your Xbox 360 to Xbox live. To connect the Xbox 360 to a 5G network, open your system settings and scroll down to network settings. Run Test Xbox Live Connection, if you recieve error code 80004005 go ahead and sign out of the existing 360 account and download a different account from Xbox 360/One/Series X that has been serviced with Xbox Live( does not mean you need to be paying for Xbox live at that moment, just download an account that has had it before) once you downloaded your profile the system should be able to recognize and connect to Wifi now. This works with and without Ethernet cable/ Internet adapter attached to Xbox 360. LET ME KNOW IF THIS FIXED YOUR PROBLEM.
I have a t mobile home wifie gateway thing. And I have an Xbox 360 slim. It will not connect? Also tried to connect to my galaxy s23 mobile hot spot. Won't work either. Anyone know the fix? Or tell me what I need to buy in order to get a connection
@JoeRetroWorld on series X my profile is already downloaded but it won't connect to xbox live. I tried using a hot spot and it works. Same with my 360. It's the spectrum router that's not letting me sign in to xbox live on Series X for xbox 360 games.
Call your provider and see they are send a 5g signal only. If so, then you will need a different router with a Older compatible signal. Some cell phones can create a Hotspot that is compatible with the xbox360.
Are you trying to hook up a old xbox360 or a xboxs? The name on back of your router is the name you put in the SSDI line. Then your password after on the next page.
You can buy a different router and set it up or call your cable provider and ask if they have a compatible router. You can try the hotspot on your phone.
@@JoeRetroWorld ok it want even show up for my hotspot either..it's asking for wireless adapter smh and not even giving me the advanced options to type in anything.. after I unplug the console they show up for about 20 seconds and go away
If you have a updated wifi router then most likely the xbox360 is not compatible with that signal. You can use your cell phone Hotspot at 2.4ghz to connect your xbox360 with a simple search of the phones Hotspot name.
@@Khaotic_Reign Some routers let you change them, not all of them. Here is a link that might help. techprojournal.com/how-to-enable-2-4-ghz-on-spectrum-router/
