How to connect AT9S Pro to BetaFPV ELRS Module? BetaFPV ELRS module is used as an example in the video.
Since AT9S Pro does not have an input port for an external module, so you need to modify the connector by yourself. Remove the back shell of AT9S Pro, the simulator port can be seen.
Wires of different colors have different meanings, which can be seen from the text printed here.
Yellow wire stands for input,
Black for ground, GND.
Blue for output.
Red for BAT, power wire.
After knowing about the differences of these wires, you need to make wires like this. Yellow means input, which is redundant, so it can be cut off. We only need three wires, one is for ground, one is for output, and the other for VCC, power wire.
I made a board like this. The Red, black and blue wires are connected to a pin respectively. Now replace the original simulator port wires with the wires I made. Pass the wires through the hole. Plug in the cable. Cover the back shell. Connect a battery to the transmitter. Please note, I use a board here just to better show the order of three wires, you can make the wires individually.
There are five ports on the back of the ELRS module. The output, CRSF is at the bottom. Ground is above it. And then VCC above the ground. Plug the pins, and connection is done. Power on AT9S Pro, we can see the ELRS module is also powered on. After powering on the module, you can bind the receiver to the module.
Now, set the transmitter. Enter basic menu--PARAMETER. Set OUT to ELRS 4.(If ELRS is not optional, please download the latest firmware of AT9S Pro from RadioLink official website)(ELRS 1 and ELRS 4 are optional here. ELRS1 with baud rate 115200; ELRS4 with baud rate 416000. ELRS1/ELRS4 only support 50HZ/500HZ now. Please reboot the transmitter after selecting the protocol)
This is the receiver of the module. And we’ll show the successful connection via F4 flight controller. Power on the flight controller. The blue LED is always on. For details on how to bind the receiver to the module, please refer to its manual. Since I’ve already finished binding, there is successful connection, and the signal tower and ELRS will appear on the screen.
Open BETAFPV_Configurator. ClicK CONNECT--Receiver. Push the joystick, the bar is moving, which means the connection of AT9S Pro and the ELRS Module is successful.
