Great info I have done numberous fire alarm to access door release. Always use one addressable relay (normally open) and tie down to the REX( the contact your using) input of access control panel. Short on alarm and jump around to all doors in parallel. Opens all doors on alarm. Nice work!!!!
Hello M_Lopez have you had any experience simulating a loss of power to the FA panel? This is part of a fire Marshall request and I’m trying to figure out how one can do this via programming only and not removing power cabling.
@@matthewpadula1731 If you have the access control power to locks from on power supply you can add a relay from the fire panel to be closed in that power circuit - locks working and if there is a power failure it will release the locks when releasing the relay. I am also just learning this so I might be wrong. I have some PLC experience there they teach if its life/limb safty the connection should always be active and only in the emergency event should it be broken. reasoning is if the wires get broken you will know you system has failed if it is a open system you will not know that until you energize and need it.
@@nics-systems-electric oh really? Wow I’m actullh surprised because at my schools they do that on every campus I’ve been at so I assumed they did that a lot. That’s why I said it made it more realistic. Non the less I like the idea of it for some reason!
@@firealarmdiscovery at my high school it can be manually activated so the Smoke exhaust fans come on and the exterior doors will open up access control will unlock and then the handicap access open the door
Hello, thank you for your informative video. I have a question that a fire inspector asked me. How could you via programming simulate a loss of power the fire alarm panel. Upon loss of power to the fire alarm panel, the mag locks are supposed to de-energize. My problem is that the FA panel is commissioned so I don’t want to remove wiring and disconnect cabling to the FA Panel. In this scenario could I somehow add a N.C relay, where once power to the fire alarm panel is lost, the N.C relay would close and cause a control relay to turn on which can in turn be used to program the de-energization of mag locks?
Hey pickle just a quick question about the lights on your bike how many battery do you use to power your lights and how do you connect them because I just got some to day with the 12v battery
I just bought a basic magnetic door closer with a exit button and a terminal, and a key remote fob. Is there away I can still connect it do do this? Or do I have to have a acces control panel?
What did you do to link the FACP to the Voice Driver? I see you have it wired up to the DSC panel, just not quite sure how the fire alarm panel caused the other panel to kick in, if I'm not wrong how do I link a burglar/fire panel combo and a FACP together?

how do i do this with multiple access panel? i tried jumping from one panel to the next but when i press to exit one door multiple doors unlock at time same time
@@nics-systems-electric Ik but when I originally had that key when I bought that key switch I couldn’t figure out how it works pickle I’m serious after not knowing how it works ive misplaced the key
Be careful with these standard Chinese access control systems that use 125khz RFID for access. These cards or tags can be easily created or duplicated with simple tools that can be purchased online.
I am aware I have tools for that I am using 13.56 MHz but they still are not encrypted but that is only an issue if somebody can actually get their hands on the fob
