Yes - That's Possible in a couple of ways: If a user does not select an answer with a money amount in it, the order will come out "Free". So if you had a required multiple choice question in your form like: What is your payment status for the course: - I have already paid in full. - Pay for advanced course now - $200 - Pay for basic course now - $100 This way after you submit the form, if they choose the "I have already paid in full" option because there is no money amount, no money or charges will be added to their order. have 2 question about this AMZ service: will the cutomer payments (paypal/card) be charged in any way because of the service? will this service be avaiable for free or it's a limited free use?
This is great! If a client doesn't want to pay via credit card or paypal, is there a way that it spits out an invoice as an alternative. It could be based on their response to a "payment method" question?

Yes - You just have to go back into the sidebar - Re-Open the getting started section and then click on the Connect Payment Provider again, select the PayPal Icon again and connect ti to a different PayPal Account. Sometimes it is easier through to just duplicate your Google Form, and do the setup steps again on a different form.

@@amakaokechukwu7946 Yes - Sadly all transactions that are automated by any platform are considered "Goods and Services" by PayPal so there will be merchant fees associated with the transaction. Depending on your country even with a personal account you should be able to accept "Guest Checkout" transactions from people that do not have a PayPal Account.
You can add tax rate in the checkout settings of the sidebar. Just slide it to the correct percentage and it will add it to the total of the items selected in the form.
This is fantastic. Would this work for let say a campground needing payment for sites - let's say 1 night of camping is $25. Now let's say campers want to pick how many nights for their trip, will this work with that - adding additional nights and calculating the cost of 1 night x3, etc.???
So there is no multiplication of a quantity. But to do quantities you just need to list out both the quantity and the total cost in a drop down. For example question "How many nights will you be staying?" - 1 Night - $25, 2 Nights - $50, 3 Nights - $75 ect..

Yes once your form is toggles on as Payable you can update the question answers (change prices), add more answer options (New Products and Prices), as you fee fit with no issues. We will always just look through all the answers the customer chose and add them to the order. Google will take care of adding new columns to your Google Sheet if needed.

We will be using the google form and Payable App to sell raffle tickets which include ticket bundles as well as individual tickets. (1 bundle might have 10 silver, 3 bronze and 1 gold). Can I add a formula field so that if someone orders, say, two bundles and 4 gold tickets, the form will show that we need to distribute 20 silver, 6 bronze and 6 gold tickets to them? I'm confident I can program this calculation, I'm more concerned whether or not adding a new column will "break" the form or the code. Thanks again.
@@RedBankMark - Ahh you wont be able to make the Google Form show anything dynamic or do multiplication. That said you might be able to update your google sheet to have additional columns inside of it that you create. In your Google Sheet you can definitely add new columns of your own "Total Gold", "Total Bronze", "Total Silver" and then try to create a formula based off your other rows that populate based on the user selection. I think what Google does is "Insert a Row" each time so you may need to drag your formula down on new orders, as it might not automatically apply to the new entries. But none of that should break Payable Forms.
Well done! I have 2 questions 1) can it be used to collect a deposit and final payment at a later date 2) can it be used for a gift certificate that would be redeemed at a later date
You can only have one payment per order. Some users will create a signup form, which has a deposit as an option. Then they create a separate simple payment form for the remainder payments. Yes we have users setup a payable form, to sell “simple gift certificates” and just use the google sheet to make a new row and track when they are used.
Is there a way to put a total number of payments on the subscription (like regular paypal subscription button where it stops charging after a set amount of weeks or months)?
Not today, but we hope to add that soon. Today all subscriptions go on forever. You can login to the payment provider and update the subscription end date after it is placed. But there is no way today to start it and make it end after X cycles.
This is pretty cool. I have a couple questions. As the seller will this order show up on my business paypal account? I am thinking about shipping purposes. I use shipstation with my business payapl account and it gives me a good cost on shipping. Will the forms work with that? Also, is there a way for google payable forms to calculate shipping from paypal? I Paypal updated their payment buttons and now it is a entire coding nightmare to make a button for new users. Way above my knowledge level. I was setting up a google form order form when I stumbled on payable forms add on.
Hey There - Yes once you turn off test mode orders / payments will appear in your connected PayPal account. So you should be able to use a shipping tool that sucks transaction information from your PayPal Account. We do not have any dynamic shipping options. The only way to do it today is add different flat rate options to your Google Form Itself. Eg, a multiple choice question: - Pickup - US Flat Rate - $10 - US Express - $20 - International Flat Rate - $30
I'm not sure whether this question is beyond the scope of what this plugin offers, but I'm attempting to sell printable tickets. I'm not sure how to go about it exactly. Is there some sort of flow available that goes from collecting the payment via google forms to automatically sending out an email to the payee with their printable ticket?
Sadly not today. Most sellers will just ask the customer to print the receipt page - then look up the order by the Order ID upon arrival. We have been thinking about building out something like you are asking for the future. So if you say ticket quantity of 4 you would get 4 separate "Tickets" on the payment page that you could share with others. But sadly we do not have that today.
I'd like to collect payments using debit/credit cards or paypal or by check. How can I set up Checkout to pay by check when there are several products involved? Customer needs to see the invoice amount with instructions on where to send the check.
Our goal is try to help sellers eliminate the pain involved with manual payments like Cash and Check, and let everything be paid and tracked automatically. If you need to offer cash and check you will need to add additional instructions in the Google Form itself, or by changing the Confirmation Message on your Google Form, to explain how they would pay by check. Yes that’s the beauty of using a google form. You can add as many different questions as you wish. You can also do customize it with “go to section based on answer” so if someone selects “I want engraving - $5” answer you can send them to a different section where you ask them what font or what text. Search RU-vid for “advanced google form features” and learn how it works. All your questions and answers go to the google sheet, so you would see it there.
(EDIT: Issued solved!) I have someone that selected a subscription price, though under payable status it says "free". all other people that selected no promotion it says "email sent". I'm confused why the only person that seems to have wanted to pay, the status says free?

Sadly not. All payments done with PayPal through 3rd party platforms are classified as “goods and services” we do allow you to add a handling / transaction fee in the checkout settings, so you can pass on some additional fees.
Sorry we only list the currencies supported by the payment providers (PayPal, Stripe, Square, ect. ) if you do not see the currency then sadly it is not supported by the payment provider.
Sadly not. It is a limitation from Google in the sense that we cannot interact with the page until the form itself is submitted. Most sellers just monitor the connected spreadsheet to ensure the orders move to the paid status. You can turn on automatic payment reminders which go out after 24 hours. If there is any information you do not want people to see until after payment is made you can put it in the "Paid Message" which will only show when the order has been paid.

Yes - you can set the currency after you connect PayPal - Go back into payable add-on in the sidebar, and go to payment settings. Change the currency in the drop down there. - Then refresh the page and go back into the sidebar, and you should see a new sample format for the new currency in the getting started section. So you will need to update your questions to follow that new format.

@@PayableApps thank you! I do a lot of pre-filled forms and collect deposit for my services. I think this is going to help a lot. Also, do I have to enable to email unification? They're already going to get a PDF invoice after submitting the form. I don't want to bombard my clients with too many emails. Also, I assume they have to make the payment in order to submit the form, correct?
@@richardthemagician8991 - So payment is not required to initially submit the google form. As an add-on we do not get any data until after the google form is submitted. So payment becomes a second step. Yes you need to have our email notifications send a link to the user so they have it just in-case they miss the second step link in the confirmation page.

You can’t do an hourly subscription. Payment providers minimum interval is 1 day. The card issuers would start to block multiple repeated charges in the same day. Depending on what you are trying to do It’s better to just ask the customer how many hours they would like to purchase and then charge them up front for their choice. What is the use case for a $10/hour automatic subscription?
