We show you the steps you need to take to control the volume of your soundbar using your Vizio TV remote. We show you the audio wire connection you need to make as well.
*Wow, you sir are the real MVP! We don't have a sound bar but we do have a massive and powerful *BumpBoxx* that we use as a sound bar. We could not figure this out so thank you very much! I was able to do this in less than two minutes. Movie night has been activated again, lol. 🤗
thank you SO much for this video....Im a little angry at Visio for not making this set up more obvious in their manuals considering that I believe 99% of people with a soundbar are trying to seamlessly run it on their TV without an auxiliary remote
Woo hoo! I did it!! And just in time to get my sound bar back before the Season Finale of Game of Thrones. Thank you for this informative video. Very much appreciated!!
Wow thanks this helped me I'm actually not even using a sound bar FYI older stereo users I have a old. School stereo receiver and this still works I just connected it to the six input on my stereo turned it up and bam one remote for everything thanks
Just a heads up, my Vizio sound bar, when going through the menu options on it, has a "Vizio tv remote" on or off feature. I turned it to off, then put it back to on clicked Ok and it worked automatically with my Vizio V585 Tv remote. The remote also controls the Amazon firestick automatically, which is nice. So if you have a Vizio sound bar and tv make sure that setting is set to on, and I didn't have to mess with any red or white cables. Good luck 🤞 😁
I have a VHT215, lost the remote and the sound bar is stuck in demo mode. Purchased a Harmony 350 remote from BB, but how can I sync it to mimic the play-pause button needed to get the sound bar out of demo mode? All other control functions worked fine. Help...
my vizio soundbar seemed to auto volume down how can i fix it? also both hdmi arc and in doesnt seem to work on mine. what could be the problem. thank you
Unfortunately no. If both your sound bar and tv have arc hdmi then you potentially can or if you have a programmable satellite or cable tv remote you could do it that way ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gS1Tc8kDhVM.html. I have a Vizio Tv v series with Insignia sound bar. I have both digital Optical and the red and white. I can’t control my sound bar with Vizio remote. Sound is coming out of sound bar but I can’t control the volume with the tv remote. Is this possible and what are the correct tv audio settings.
Go into Vizio menu Select audio Select external speakers Back Find “variable output” for volume and enable Set your sound bar to the Red White wire input
Omg thanks alot. I knew there was a way to turn it off. My problem was the soundbar and woofer was off then turn the tv volume up and bar and woofer turns on automatically. Drives my wife crazy. She likes the extra sound with movies or playing music channels only. I have mine hooked up through the digital optical port only.
I try to have the volume control of my tv with the sound bar and it doesn’t work with optical! I have a samsung sound bar and a Sony tv with both optical input and output! Try many settings on the tv even when I put variable without success
Depends - if there is a single audio input, such as an 1/8th inch input, you'd need a red/white to stereo 1/8" cord. The way it tells you to HOOK it up works just fine...Why change anything...I get Treble, Bass from soundbar speakers the 2 small speakers and Subwoofer just fine It all works with using the REMOTE
New title for this video - "How to connect your Vizio TV with an RCA Cable". User guide says the TV should be on "Fixed" analog audio out. You never showed the Vizio TV remote pairing for controlling sound.
