Here's my take on how to convert a Primaris Centurion. --My Patreon: www.patreon.com/user?u=435681... --WhatThe40k's Original Video: • Let's Build: Primaris ...
The crossed arms thing is actually accurate I believe. Centurions are similar to Dreadnoughts, where the Marine inside movies the machine with their mind instead of their arms. But this makes it work WAY Better.
I think Dorn in TTS made the Centurion endearing to a lot of people by this point. It is a little goofy, but so is everything in 40K imo. Nice conversion regardless
I prefer the original, mostly due to liking the boxier look, but I think this would make an excellent alternative to a nemesis dreadknight, being less like a glorified baby carrier, more like a higher tech and more mobile variant of the centurions chassis. Wicked conversion either way (though I disagree about the mittens, they are adorable)
I love your kitbashes man, such an underrated channel. I only got into 40k recently and your kitbashes are by far what get my imagination going. Thanks!
While i really like the design, i think it looks absolutely awesome, i do think there are a few problems, in my opinion at least: 1. the arms are a little too thin in my opnion, when i think of a centurion, i think of someone who wears his armour (well, the official models don't really sell that off with how wide the chest it, but you get the idea), and so i think the arms should be a little bit more thick, to show that the space marine is actually wearing another suit of armour, as opposed to only wearing it on his chest and legs 2. it feels to me like the armour is in pieces, rather than a full on suit, i feel like the armour should be more "connected" with itself, to show that it's something you get into, rather than it having to be put on you with the help of others (or, well, atleast that's what i think the centurion armour is supposed to be like) 3. this might be just me, but i feel like the weapons are still not as heavy as they should be for a centurion, the left arm looks really good, only thing to change in my opinion is what i mentioned before, make the arm itself thicker. Other than that it's great, i love it. As for the right arm, i feel like you should hide the hand itself all together, it feels too small in comparison to how big the rest of the armor is, but with the hand hidden, it would then looks like the marine is piloting the bolter inside the arm, which kinda makes more sense as to how he can lift and aim it in the first place (and of course the rest of the arm should be thicker, but that should be obvious by now :v) 4. i feel like the back of the legs should also be covered a bit more in armour, it's kinda weird to see those itty bitty space marine legs on a behemoth like a centurion :v other than those things, it's a great design, i can absolutely see something like that done officially by GW, good job mate
At least you acknowledged that the arms are indeed crossed across the chest. I feel like a lot of these "making Centurions look cool" videos completely miss that major point. GW probably did a pretty bad job in explaining that back in the day when they released the kit.
This really works, I love it! I'd recommend trying out some Salamander centurions and possibly have them looking very ornate and covered in salamander scales?
My all time favorite centurion conversion is the one by Jack of Clubs Painting. I really like the bulky design of the centurions but hate how short they are and I think he perfectly captures the feel of a hulking armor thats near indestructible while still giving it the taller design that the originals lack. I love the aggressor helmet more than the original centurion helmet but I think the look of the centurion helmet is unique and distinguishable enough to fair without being replaced. I really like your conversion but it gives me more of a smaller imperial knight vibe than a centurion one. Still really great job though I love this next step from all the orks.
I'm also actually a really big fan of Jack of Clubs' version with the original centurion head, and I think you put it really well that mine is more like a small imperial knight. Though now that I have a 'base' version done, I'm planning on trying to add some of the hulkness back to my later ones while still trying to find a way for it to be anatomically possible.
The fact they don't make guns for the left hand has been the bane of my custom kitbashing life. I have actually gone to such lengths as having people 3d print the ones I need for me, which has cost me a small fortune at this point.
this is the video that made me subscribe. also happens to be the first video of yours i've seen. I have always thought like you the centurions where an amazing concept .. done poorly .. great to see you and others are bringing the great idea to justice !
Not really a marine chapter, but could you try making an assault centurion that looks like it’s made for underground warfare (maybe used for digging tunnels and possibly breaching)?
I am way late to the party, but I am reminded of how the Salamanders suited up in Centurion and Terminator armor to clear out Ork Roks on Armageddon in Space Hulk formation. Would be cool to see the fiery Marines get some lovin'!
I liked the what the 40k conversion and considered it for my centurions but your additions and changes fit better with what I want, I'm considering using ogryn parts for the bulk and mechanising them with paper clips and staples. Love the work and the channel it inspires my own conversion work, so I do pinch ideas from you.
I’ll be using some of these techniques for my own custom space marine chapter chapter master, whom I plan on being massive in size like Tiberus the red wake
Really admiring your videos. I'm very tempted to get into trying to paint miniatures as a hobby, and possibly for tabletop games. However, I always quite enjoyed the building aspect of minis when I did warhammer, and don't know if companies outside Games Workshop do do sprues and construction, or if they all just send the finished mini to paint? Anyone know companies that do unbuilt miniatures?
Cool kitbash man! i have made mine a lot bigger as well. Although the actual lore is that they have their arms crossed and control it with the carapace. this is why the honours they have are crossed fists. I really like this take though saying that.
Idk man it looks cool but then u get rid of the rocket launchers and hurricane bolsters, and then what u just gonna not use one of his weapons in game play or you just gonna use the missile launchers and be like u can’t see them in this armoire? I know I’m being picky with wysiwyg but idk seems weird either way
This is lit! Space Wolves could duel wield axes, Dark Angels could have a big sword and shield, The one that you did looks great for an Iron Hands or Imperial Fist, Salamanders could have a massive flamer and hammer. Im excited to see what you come up with!!! Great channel!
I do really like regular Centurions, but this, with the Dreadknight blade you used for the Grey Knight one, or Guilliman's Sword for the fire? I wish I had the ambition to cut up the models to do it
@@kitbosh They really are a rare treat. But when they are aus creative and amazing as you, they shure are worth it! By the way, would love to see your models painted someday! (even if not done by you) :D
Do you have a store where you sell these? I remember hearing on one of your videos that you don't play 40k, and I'd definitely be interested in buying some of your models
I really like the idea of giving them terminator arm weapons. The piston fist is a really awesome. Though not sure about needing to extend the torso. Makes him look a little thin and stretched out for me. But otherwise I might have to swipe some of these ideas in the future
Awesome conversion. I have liked the centurion model more after reading Drop Trooper series by Rick Parlow. This conversion gives me a lot of ideas for making those suits. This is very Fallout Power Armour too
This is amazing l wish agressors were like this instead of just loyalist obliterators would also fit the primaris theme better and in a good way by that
Only criticism i have would be the arms. Kitbashed powerfist is great and the terminators chain gun too But compared to the bulk of the rest they look sorta off
I mean looks really cool but this is much weaker and wonkier than the original centurions and I feel like in gameplay I wouldn’t know how to play him with the weapons you have
