I've not done it this way before. I did learn several months ago that cracking gently the rounded end and then boiling, works for me every time. Basically you're just breaking the seal before cooking. Only took me 60 years to learn that.

Thanks for sharing. There are so many ways to boil eggs. I find it fascinating! I learned this method from my Mom who learned it from my Grannie.
