How to cook juicy & crispy deer heart | wild venison recipe

🔪 What to Expect:
Learn essential tips for preparing and cleaning a venison heart.
Discover a mouthwatering recipe that honors the natural flavors of wild game and the incredible Sambar Australian Deer.
🌿 Ingredients:
Freshly harvested venison heart, salt, pepper & butter. That's i.
👨‍🍳 Step-by-Step Guide:
1. 00:55 - Clean the heat with water.
2. 01:11 - Trim off the layer of fat at the top of the heart.
3. 01:50 - Cut off upper tubes and valves
4. 02:09 - Cut the heart into 4 filets.
5. 03:06 - Remove the heartstrings
6. 03:54 - Cut the heart into 1-2cm stripes.
7. 04:35 - Dip the stripes into an egg wash and then coat with breadcrumbs.
8. 05:20 - Melt some butter on a hot pan.
9. 05:29 - Add the meat stripes to the hot pan and cook between 1-3 minutes, turning each strip at the half way mark.
10. 05:37 - Cook until golden brown and finish with some salt and pepper.
🍽️ Tasting Notes:
The heart strips are best served hot, straight out of the pan. They will have a beautiful buttery outer crunch with a juicy meat middle. Like the best steak you've ever tasted.

Hi Chris, loved your video my mouth was salivating. I was raised eating lots of heart, lungs and liver from goats and sheep. My parents grew up utilising the whole animal back in the day in their home land because they were poor and even making soup from stomach and intestine. These days most people turn their nose to these types of meals but they don't know what they are missing out on. Keep up the great work bud. Regards George

Thank you for your engagement George. You're 100% correct. People are missing out. They are.missing out on good food, unique experiences and the opportunity to contribute towards less food waste. Agreed Moqo! More people need to get into it and start to appreciate the different parts of animals. Personally l, I think the heart is the best part of a deer. Not eating it is a terrible waste.
