For a long term is that okay to leave the card inside the magnetic case even after putting the perfect sleeve? Will the card bent or damage in a long term?
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 9 месяцев назад
I don't think it will bend that much so I think it's find for long term storage. However, even if it bends a bit, a lot of grading companies won't consider it as "damaged" as in you won't loose points for it.

Great video and much appreciated man! Gotta be the best way to store the cards, ungraded. For sure!

Glad it was helpful bro! Definitely the most robust way to store. Got many PSA 10s after grading using this storage method

It's possible to put the magnetic card holder through a chain?
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 2 месяца назад
I think it would be hard. Defiantly don’t see a hole unless you drill one in

Legit question, if a magnetic case like this accidentally falls on the floor, does it open itself ?
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 9 месяцев назад
That could happen but I think it's unlikely. It would need to fall at a specific angle that can open the One Touch case

I always put a team bag around it, then it wont open when it drops on the ground

I've heard that's why you put a little sticker on top edge near the magnet.

It's okay to not put a second layer of sleeves as psa does not put a sleeve in their cases while they still shake
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 3 месяца назад
I highly recommend that you do! I know PSA does not but I personally wouldn’t risk it. I don’t know if PSA cases are maybe designed for that purpose whereas the One Touch may have “sharper” corners? I’m not sure. Hence, I think have that extra protection can’t hurt. Besides, I think the PSA cards rattle around less from what I’ve seen compared to how much a One Touch case could rattle it. Just my opinion. Thanks for checking out the video!

The card moving in the one-touch holder will not damage the card. Look at PSA slabs they all move around a little bit. You are more likely to damage the card using a penny sleeve and jamming it into the recess of the one-touch.
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector Месяц назад
That's why I use a perfect fit sleeve - there's no jamming required. Card's in PSA slabs do move around a bit but in the One Touch it moves around a lot more. The case design for One Touch and PSA slabs are also different (more free space in the One Touch). At the end of the day, if you shake the PSA slab enough, it will still damage the card... It just depends on how much people want to protect it.

If they ain't good, why does Pkmn Company include them? without sleeves btw.
@edgargarcia4051
@edgargarcia4051 5 месяцев назад
Those are the wrong magnetic one touches for the sleeves…. There’s actually specific one-touch card holders where you can put a sleeved card in. If you use these one-touches then you put the card in and the sleeve on top before you close it. 👍

Hm interesting! What’s the brand or product called? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that before but thanks for letting me know!

Probably the most protective option. Think it's more rigid than graded card cases as well!

What would the right size top loader be for sports cards? same as pokemon or the one you used?
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 2 месяца назад
It depends on the type of sport card. I would google the name of the brand that you are collecting. Usually it will be thicker than Pokémon cards but I’m not sure the exact dimensions.
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 2 месяца назад
What I am referring to is the thickness of the toploader itself btw

Should I buy the perfect hard sleeves
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 6 месяцев назад
I'm not too sure what hard sleeves are? If you don't want to use One Touch cases, you can use toploaders and a penny sleeve from Ultra Pro which can work pretty well too. If you want perfect sleeves, try to use a size that's close to the KMC perfect fit ones. The problem with other bigger "perfect sleeves" results in a bad fit with the One Touch or the sleeve becomes "scrunched" and does not look good.

Is it ok if i use a regular ultra pro one ? My card does not move is just that the reflections are weird but the card is stored on a box on the dark so i think it should be fine
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 7 месяцев назад
Good question - are you referring to just using an ultra pro one touch without an inner sleeve? I would still recommend the perfect fit sleeve as overtime, the card will interact still with the sharper edges of the one touch. Even if there's small movements of the cardboard against a rigid plastic edge can potentially damage it.

Where do you get the sleeves?
@TCGCollector

Basically any game store. Or eBay and Amazon would be your best bet too. Have affiliate links in the description if you do want to purchase them :). Thanks for checking out the video!

If you have 55 pt. what does that mean? and can it still work?
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 9 месяцев назад
The pt size=the thickness of your card. For most TCGs including Pokémon, you want to use 35pt ones. Unless you are using it for thicker sports cards, your card might not be secure in the holder and might shake around a bit

Do you have experiences with Ultimate Guard Katana inner sleeves?
@TCGCollector
@TCGCollector 9 месяцев назад
No sorry! I've only tried the KMC and dragon shield inner sleeves before. Although if you were going to use an inner sleeve+One touch, I would use the KMC sleeves as it's a tighter fit and sits well inside the one touch. Other sleeves like the dragon shield is a bit of a looser fit but "scrunches" up when you try to place it inside the One Touch.

Hey you think you can do a video on how to submit Pokémon cards to psa from Canada? Tia
@thecardclosetcanada5443
@thecardclosetcanada5443 Год назад
I would highly recommend using a group like PSA Canada. Depending where you live, your card shops should probably deal with them, so you can do the paperwork and drop cards off right with your LCS. I've submitted directly to SGC, psa, hga....you can end up getting hammered by customs when they come back. Plus the grading companies like to use FedEx or UPS. They will also hammer you with fees after they deliver your cards back to you. My last order from PSA (about 25 cards) came with a fee from FedEx of 96$. 2 weeks after I got my cards back. If you use PSA Canada, you won't get those charges.
@thecardclosetcanada5443
@thecardclosetcanada5443 Год назад
That 96$ fee from FedEx was on top of the shipping fee PSA charged to ship my cards back. I'll never submit directly to a grading company again.

Hi sorry for the slow response. I actually did submit Pokemon cards to PSA in the past and I actually didn't get charged for customs. However, as the other comment states, it does require a PSA membership (for the cheaper rates) and a highish shipping cost depending on the insured value of your cards.
