To save on money I put my lip stain on my lips and also on my cheeks and rub it in well, it’s a berry colour so it just gives my cheeks a nice lift to my face and it doesn’t cost a lot!
Your hair is on 🔥Such a good trick the light line on the eye bag area. Hardly ever put make up on but I make mental notes for when I do it do the best for my look. ❤️

Once you’ve used the La Mer foundation you never go back. I used to get such clogged pores from my make up and I don’t anymore. I use the primer, the powder and the concealer and it’s helped my skin so much and all looks very natural. You use less of them too so that helps me justify the price 🤣 the radiant skin tint is lovely too.
I enjoyed watching this video, and I do use an Eve Pearl color corrector daily on my undereye area. I also use Too Faced Born this Way concealer on top of the color corrector, and a Becca setting powder. My question: every time I use the setting powder my undereye skin looks dull, and it automatically shows my wrinkles. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem? I love your videos, and really enjoy learning from them.
Yes! It seems I have to choose between dark circles and sunkeness and emphasizing my wrinkles, making them look worse! I guess I’ll settle for dark circles.
I followed everything, step by step right along with you. My make up actually looked quite a bit better and seemlessly blended to look more skin-like, not make-upy. However, I just can’t loose that dreaded dark line under the eye bag :( Wanted to mention, while I didn’t use the same pricey primer and foundation, I HIGHLY recommend you trying these 2 drug store brands that I used. One is the Neutrogena Radiant Primer snd Serum with healthy skin peptides. The other is the Cover Girl + Olay Simply Ageless 3 in 1 Foundation with hyaluronic complex and vitamin c. Super affordable, beautiful, natural coverage that feels super hydrating and smells so gorgeous! Seriously, I never knew foundation could ever smell so good till I tried this! ...while I never smelled the Le Mer, I bet you anything this CoverGirl +Olay smells just as good, if not better than your over priced Le Mer! While I couldn’t get rid of that dark line under the bag, your tips helped PHENOMINALLY with the concealment of the dark circles! The difference is so dramatic, as I was one of those sufferers you mentioned who used to end up gray looking under my eyes after trying to cover the dark circles with just concealer and foundation! The color corrector made a HUGE dramatic difference! I always had that orange color corrector but never knew how to apply correctly so I gave up on it till I saw your video. I also suffer seriously with dark circles and I have tried many brands of color correctors as I am on a budget I do have a tip for you and the brand is NYX make up line Rhett carry a pod like corrector in light peach or med peach and also orange as this one she's using in the video. I like the orange and just use a little brush to apply it on my very dark Divet line under my eyes and then blend in with fingers before I use the actual concealer I'm using that day.

I was a cool years ago, when they did the color wheel thing with the fabrics against my skin. Had dark hair then, ha. Will I still be a cool with the almost white hair now? I'm never sure what shades to use. I'm 71, have very dark hair and Italian decent. I also have dark circles and sunken under the eyes. How do I determine the shades to use? I'm lost .
Wow,! I know this is an old video but it really addressed my problem. I hate my dark circles and the sunken socket look I have. Looking forward to trying this technique. It’s funny but I’ve been doing my makeup the same way for so many years. I suppose it was just out of habit. But I’m 61 now and I (finally) realized it was no longer working. I'd like to know if there are any beauty consultants I can ask a question to regarding a couple of your products. - I will be 50 next month & was a typical 90's tanning salon fiend 😭 And while surprisingly, my skin didn't really get damaged, i did however get 3 hyperpigmentation marks. Two of them are the size of the fingerprint on my pinky finger, and the third is much smaller. I use Natasha Denonas color correctors, but with one of them, it's soo daunting & and time-consuming to cover. Idk if i need a darker color to do it? I love this video - thank you! The older I get, the more I struggle with the under eye area. I have some darkness, but I also have a sunken area under the eye. That combined with really dry skin is so difficult. I'd love some help!

Hi. I just saw your video and I am very hopeful. No matter what I do, I can't adequately cover and disguise my dark circles. My undereye skin is super thin and crepey, i have horrible dark circles and puffiness. I keep trying things, but nothing is working. I know I can't make them disappear but ugh!!! I am going to try your technique tomorrow and pray!!!
How about trying the orange stick on a person who actually has very dark circles so we can see if it truly does work. It looks great on a person with flawless skin like yours. Duh.

I'm going to have to try this! I have struggled with dark circles under my eyes for, well, ever. 🙄 I have tried a million different concealers, and every time I feel defeated that another one doesn't do anything for me 😥 And now that I am over 40 I am dealing with skin that is suddenly completely different than what I had been used to applying makeup on, and I never feel confident in my look. Honestly, I had basically given up and gotten used to my never looking how I wanted to after applying makeup. 😫Many thanks for giving detailed instructions on how to apply each product. So glad you're addressing this. This is a fairly new issue with me, just a few months, that appeared out of the blue. The line, the dark puffy area, that's worse on some days than others. Thank you.
Any product I put under my eyes (color correction, concealer, foundation), settles into my fine lines and wrinkles and amplify them. Even with lighter "anti-aging" formulas. Suggestions on how to color correct without this issue?
@@NikolJohnson I've been using Maybelline age rewind under eye concealer. It creases less, but covers less. I've tried thicker ones like ShapeTape which were even worse with creasing. I recently started using the Maybelline apricot color corrector. It corrects well but still creases.
Julie Sisemore sounds like perhaps you’re not applying enough moisture to the eye first - don’t laugh but I also use a setting lotion spray on the top of my hand use my finger just tap gently on top of the concealer until it dries then set with powder inside the LAURA Mercier transcluscent

Your confident and easy presentation has brought me to feel a true Trust in the information you share. You have inspired me to begin considering using light make-up once again, which have haven’t done for several years now! I have never been a “foundation” wearer, due mainly to my oily skin and the time consumed with a total make-up routine. But I have, in the past, enjoyed eye shadow, mascara and blush. It became necessary for me to begin using an eyebrow pencil to fill in my very light colored brows. Several years ago I realized that (apparently) plucking my eyebrows slowed their growth as I got older. 😕 I DO have a QUESTION in relation to my eyelashes: In my younger years (I’m now 62 years old) I was always complemented on my long, curly eyelashes. Being blonde (at that time; gray now), I wore mascara to enhance their visibility. BUT, I have noticed in the last few years that my eyelashes have begun to “sweep” to the side rather than being curled as they always naturally were. Is there anything that might remedy this? ALSO, I just watched one of your videos on “Drooping Eyelids” and am very excited to order the product! I seldom jump to buy any product, but your presentation and conversation with the creator has given me FULL CONFIDENCE that the product will work to help enhance my problem. 😊 Thank you for sharing your expertise and bringing your sweet Mama on as one of your models! 💕
Thank you for answering my question in your recent post, Nikol! I use a corrector but it's more of a peachy shade. I'll have to try a deeper orange to see if that covers more of the dark circles.

I just subscribed to your channel. I love your makeup tutorials and find you very inspiring. I have a lot of under eye wrinkles and was wondering if putting the concealer all the way to the outer edge of the eye would make the wrinkles and crows feet worse? Every time I have tried to conceal the way you do, it makes the lines worse. Do you have any suggestions? I can only conceal under the inner eye area due to my wrinkles and crows feet.
Is your Extreme Cancel Corrector appropriate for very dark under eye circles that are brown rather than blue or gray? I have raccoon eyes. My lids are medium brown compared to my light olive main skin color. I have a fairly deep well of dark brown skin under my eye. What should I use to even it out?

I’ve Always had dark circles ( heredity and allergies) but now.. they are harder to deal with as my undereye skin seems more translucent and I have wrinkles. Ugh!
Fabulous video Nikol - I’ve just purchased the By Terrey foundation I believe it’s similar to La Met can’t wait to apply it tomorrow ! I think Bobbi Brown truly pioneered the way to correct concealing I’ve been using her apricot corrector for years - your technique is very similar
You give free 15 consult? Could I get that? I really need help with choosing the right color corrector n concealer for medium dark circles . I am wasting money trying different concealers with us hard on social security. I even consulted Sephora consultants but it still not covered.
I'm the perfect candidate for this situation 😊 But:: My problem now with this, is too much moisture added; which causes creasing and fading within a couple of hours, even with the setting powder. Too many layers of moisture in this regime. Maybe first take the shea butter out of the Extreme Cancel for starters? This is most definitely even more of an issue with those who have to wear glasses all day that holds in all the heat around the eyes 😕 I have the exact kind of circles w/indentation that you describe and must wear glasses all day but have been doomed with the issues you describe plus the ones I added (most problematic is it not lasting, and extremely difficult to touch-up- so need it to last). Would you have a modified regime suggestion for someone like myself? 🙏

I don't expect anyone to read this since this post is older. However, I am so frustrated and confused. I have looked up Nikol Cosmetics in duck duck go, and google and I cannot seem to find your cosmetics. There is a Nicol and a few other names, but for the life of me I cannot seem to find YOUR cosmetic line. Could you be a little more specific if you are found under a different name? Also, more times than not in your tutorials you seem to be out of what ever it us that you are using. Just a little frustrated with all of it.
I love the way you look except for the heavy black eyebrows. In my opinion it distracts from your beautiful face. It's the first thing you see. I think that thinner ones would compliment better. Just a thought.

I have rosacea and a lot of red on my face, and I've been using IT Bye Bye Red Neutralizing cream and I find it works very well at covering the redness.
A correction above when I said I thought you should use green with dark circles and you used to pink… I guess I was colorblind for a minute… you used orange!
How do I combat tear troughs? I have tried sooooo many products and have yet to find anything that helps diminish their appearance. I do not have dark under eye problems, just the tear troughs.
I want to use these products under my eyes, but even with great eye serums, concealers still look heavy and crease in my wrinkles. At times they end up pooling at the outer corner of my eyes. 😩
