Hah... I love EVA, it does need a somewhat different approach to the usual XPS but it is waaay more versatile and 1000% more durable! Glad you found me... and I promise that there is more on the way :D

Hey Oriane, glad to have you along! I first approached the idea of modular city bases in my Fallen City episode (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4gRp6XluyWY.html) and hopefully you get some ideas from that. I plan to expand on this base set with street sections and buildings. I also plan to do a more modernistic, apocalyptic set... with a UK look as opposed to the many US road layouts that we see. With regard to creating texture, EVA responds very well to heat tools such as soldering irons etc, and of course Dremmel tools but a respirator is imperative with EVA! You can create a great tarmac like texture by overheating the surface of the EVA with hot air gun, but again the fumes are very toxic so take care with that one... I am still researching a good cobblestone texture method and I do have an episode coming out in the near future which gives one potential method. And finally all of the texturing methods that can be done to XPS can be done to EVA, ie sand, gravel, PVA etc. However one technique used in XPS is using the tin foil ball to texture the surface, this won't work with EVA, rather crumple the sheet of foil heavily then iron the sheet onto the surface of the EVA, this will provide a much better and resilient texture. I hope that this gives you something to work with :)
