Roll for Damage I'll have to try it one day. We don't have harbor freight here but there are places that carry it. Hardware stores and craft shops.

No I don’t seal it with anything. The paint absorbs several layers by the EVA and I havnt found it to scratch. Thanks for checking of the vids! 😄

Vance Chinen one of the best parts about this foam. It doesn’t require primer or a clear coat afterwards. The grey color is the natural color of the foam I used

The Chopshop Network if you have a harbor freight, I recommend them being the cheapest. If not you can purchase the mats at Walmart as well. You will be looking for anti-fatigue mats for workshops or yoga.

While it would leave an impression if it was something like cheesecloth or a potato sack perhaps. I do not know how well the imprint would stay over time being so shallow. Heat can revert the texture back to a smooth surface if enough heat is applied. So keep that in mind but in theory it should work and then you could clear coat to prevent it from losing texture.

@@RollforDamageRFD awesome, thanks for the reply. I am thinking burlap. I would be airbrushing and likely applying mod podge. I think definitely some experiments will be in order. Luckily the foam is pretty cheap!

Thank you. Currently, I do not have the time to record and edit which is a majority of the projects timeline. I hope soon enough things will settle enough with work that I may resume. On the pink insulation or XPS type of foam. It can not withstand the extreme heat like EVA and tends to melt. I am far from an expert as I don’t use XPS in any of my crafting.

On the flip side. You could always heat up the available item you are using to apply the texture (provided that can withstand the heat.) and brand your XPS accordingly.

That only works on XPS foam. The fun being worked on in this video is EVA foam.

@@CaitofFate it also works for EVA foam unfortunately I can't post pictures in comments, but trust me it works 😁 Atleast on the kinda of eva foam used as workshop flooring and for Larp/cosplay gear

Yes!!! The durability between the two are incomparable. However on the flip side EVA is a bit harder to work with.

@@RollforDamageRFD i'm starting to build my own set of tiles, i've tried cardboard (didn't like the look of it) and couldn't find XPS foam where i live, so i tried EVA, i'm happy to know they can be textured that way, if i was happy how they turn out, now they will be O.O
