Wow!! This is exactly what a passionate breeder should be doing to perfect a breed. Especially the breeds that have lost variations and have been bred in a corner. Introducing a direct relative breed such as the American to the Olde Bulldog is extraordinary!

Actually the docking of the tail and bulldogs and also Rottweilers and several other large breeds, stems from the dog using their tail for balance and when you drop that tail they use their hind end and build extra muscle and ligaments which gives them a lower hip dysplasia ratio, at least that's what my vet said

I just had an American Bulldog litter with six females and one male, they'll be ready febuary 1st but some of them have spiral tails / pigtails and some just have regular tales

It is my dream to own an English Bulldog. I know exactly why they are so costly. But I hate it, also, bc it makes ownership an impossibility for a lot of parents looking to add one of these personality-PLUS fur babies to their families. My daughters and I love learning from you guys.

The reason why they started cutting the tails were because hogs or other animals even dogs would attack/bite the it. Even the ears. Something less to grab on too.
