How To Create A Wood Feature Wall (The Easy Way Using Wood Slat Panels)
If you have been thinking about creating a stunning wood panel feature wall but you have been hesitating because you didn't want it to take a huge amount of time, then this is the perfect video for you.
With these stunning acoustic slat wood panels you can transform any room in your house in such a short amount of time.
This wall took me only two hours to complete. I was very lucky that I didn't have to cut all the panels down to size and if you do need to cut down the panels that will take you a few extra hours but you will still be able to start and finish this makeover in just one day!
The tools and products I used are as follows:-
* Timber Panels These particular panels are from the Wood Veneer Hub. They are the Natural Oak Acoustic Wood Slat Panels you can check then out here www.thewoodveneerhub.com.au/REFINISHWITHJADE and use the code REFINISHWITHJADE for 5% off.
* A Level - amzn.to/3wdsRti (Amazon) - The level is going to be used just for the first panel so that you can line that up and get it at that level. Therefore, every other panel that follows that is also going to be level.
* Screws - amzn.to/3HRdWHO (Amazon) I like to use the same colour as the backing on the panels. My panels that I'm installing have a black backing; therefore, I'm using black screws. You can also get these panels with a grey backing.
* A Drill - amzn.to/42yLK6f (Amazon) because there are a lot of screws to install, and it's going to be a very slow process with a screwdriver. Doable but very slow and tedious. So, you can either use an impact drill if you've got one; this is what I'm going to be using for the project. Otherwise, you can use a little battery-operated drill amzn.to/3vZYKWd (Amazon) that you can easily pick up at the hardware store.
* A Multitool amzn.to/49qlM7n (Amazon) Jigsaw amzn.to/48XMTqk (Amazon) or handsaw amzn.to/3w3fz2J (Amazon) - To cut your panels. I'm going to be using the multi-tool today.

How are you checking for water and power while drilling from the outside of the panels?

Be careful though not to hit any plumbing in the walls, its not as simple as just drilling anywhere you want and it xan have disasterous consequences, this installation looks fantastic ans you did a great job, but wete incredibly lucky to avoid the above.

This wall is a very large wall and I used 8 boxes of panels. The whole wall cost $1800 but for ease of installation and quality I think it was worth it 😀

Hi Jade, first time watching. Is this price is US dollars? TIA So when you figuratively and literally step back from this wall, the following can be factored in: 1. Acoustic Dampening increased 2. Insulation increased and ... 3. A stunning feature wall that, YOU enjoy now and if you were ever to sell, would be recouped easily in the sales price later. I imagine a little upkeep with vacuuming for dust--how often depends on where you live and, LOL, what you level of dust you can stand. Also, I would think you'd want to affix as many panels as possible to the frame studs of the wall. So, for some it's a hard pass, seen as an expense where for others, it's an investment on important levels that will be both returned immediately (enjoyment) and later (when sold). 👍@@refinishwithjade

Very expensive. $239 for 240 cm by 64 cm!!

If you were to buy that many of individual piece of timber it would also work out quite expensive. This wall cost of total of $1,800. But you could do a MDF panel wall much cheaper if you don’t want to show the actual wood grain 👍
