Thankyou for this valuable information Jade! I've just bought your ebook, and am doing a little more learning before officially starting. The challenge for me is choosing the colours of Fusion mineral paint I want to buy first!
Hello, I loved everything, but I would like to know what kind of paint you used for the kitchen counter and what kind of coverage to protect the paint you used, I have to fix the counter where I pay rent and I don't want to pay for a new one because it's not fair anymore that the cover that protected it no longer had it and everything that falls stains the kitchen counter.
Female here and I love love love it. The wood grain showing through the dark stain is so freaking beautiful. I also love the light blue color you picked. I wouldnt keep it in a bedroom. I would put it out where it would be seen for sure.😊
This is so pretty great job! TIP measure from your blade over your length and use some double sided tape to stick down a stop block then all you do is slide your wood till it stops at the block cut, move slide, repeat, much faster!
You are so talented. Amazing result. Watching you snap off the tips of screws makes me wish I was younger and stronger... I bought all new handles for my old home that's about to go on the market, and the screws have those snap off ends. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out without hurting my wrist (and swearing the street down🫢) for 60 plus screws. Ended up going back to bunnings and buying shorter screws. Here's hoping they fit. Love your channel. Learning a lot.
Thank you so much Sylvain. The snap off screws can be tricky the main thing is that you have a really sharp pair of pliers that make snapping the screws so much easier. 😀 but getting some shorter screws from Bunnings when you have 60 to do is definitely a good idea 👍
Pretty! To make repetitive cuts easily, set up a stop block (you can clamp something to your fence); it's more accurate and faster than measuring the pieces individually.
Beautiful transformation! I don't like the difference between the wood tone on the drawers and the body of the dresser. I would have preferred the body to be lighter, but that's just personal preference, I am sure someone else loves it. Thanks so much for sharing
Thanks so much Sophia, I actually agree with you. Once I applied the stain to the body I thought it was a little dark but I really wanted to keep the Tasmanian Oak its natural colour so didn’t want to stain it. If I was to do it again I’d use a lighter stain on the body but I still love the end result 😀
