I love the simple gardens with two or three types of bushes and trees done in a uniform pattern in odd numbers. Then I get emails from plant sellers and fall in love with everything and end up with 76 different plants and eyeing off the neighbour's garden to expand into. 😂

I watched one video and decided to use your design and you have inspired me to take my curb appeal from my neighbors saying "you're house ALWAYS looks so nice!" To "WOW who did this I'm hiring them". I want to thank you for the inspiration as well as the Sandlot comparison LOL. Trust me, Benny the Jet had a rest day and they wanted him to steal home. Hey they let Kirk Gibson take rest in the WS when he was hurt hahahaha!

Great presentation of 3 different Before and After plans. I really liked your explanations of how the size and architecture of the house dictated the landscape design.

The 90's movies references really speak to me, love it. Boxwoods and hydrangeas are a classic look for almost any house and I've definitely implemented the look at my own house. Thanks to your videos, I've also focused on texture and have a new found love for incorporating grasses that really take things up a notch. Thank you!

Love your channel and learned so much. This year tackling my backyard. Already have 4 trees that are 20 years old. Have 2 hellebore gardens with about 20 in each. There are already some hydrangeas and a few other small plants. Now to use your idea of repetition and add some green shrubs, hostas and coneflowers, maybe some small ferns around hellebores. Got a small house a Hugh shed on a lot and a half with a lot of weeds. Stripped the weeds and racked off the weed seed blanket. Was about a total volume equal to 12 of those community trash containers or 48 of those street trash containers. Basically 10 years of collected weeds and dirt build up of in unattended wild yard growth. That was the first year. Second year was grass. Cool grasses in the back with wind breaks from the shed, house, and alley with one side open to a west wind. The front yard was warm grass, Bermuda, buffalo, and St Augusta’s. The also learned that you do not have to plant only grass. (This is my first yard). Third year (now) I have started a couple of gardens put in a walkway this last winter and started a water thingy. So to the point I like some of the ideas you have but really thankful to watching your planing process. I don’t have that type of software but will be looking for some. For now grid sheets and a fat pencil with an eraser seems to be this evenings project. Thanks MH ps thanks for all the fish

I have learned a wealth of knowledge from your selfless kindness that I, personally, cannot express the positive impact you’ve made in my life. Just a short backstory as to why I want you to realize how important you are so hang with me 🙂: My husband and I were blessed to be able to buy a house LITERALLY within days before the housing market started its midlife crisis and went crazy🙄 Due to that fact it caused us, with due diligence, have to hurry as if we were in Zombieland because that’s pretty much what the competition was like! (and unfortunately hiring Woody Harrelson to take a little off the top wasn’t in our budget 🤭) So, this video is a PERFECT example of our situation. It’s a nice, 1968 southern Tn single story brick ranch that has a nice size yard but DISATEROUS landscaping! It’d be a fun playground for you but has became paralyzing to me😂 After 2 years we’re still pulling up the Jackson Polock vibes from whatever this mess was they planted. It overtook everything! One was poisonous!🫨😵‍💫 NONE of this hot mess made sense nor added any value. (To sum it up and further making this a novel😬) THIS is where you come in!🥳 EACH & EVERY ONE of your videos is an ENTERTAINING nugget of knowledge and sanity saver! (…well, as sane as a couple firefighters can be, that’s probably a stretch😉😂) I just want you to know how very grateful I am for the vast amount of time and effort you put into all you do to freely share your plethora of experience with us. You don’t have to do this. Yet from the kindness of your heart you do🤍 You take the hours that could have been spent with your family to help better everyone else’s.
