In this tutorial, I'll show you how easy it is to add custom post types and custom fields to your WordPress website and make them look amazing using a theme builder.
It's surprisingly easier than you think. Now for the video, I am using Elementor Pro page builder for WordPress to create the design, but you can use any page builder.

Yet another fantastic video, Adam :) I had dabbled around with ACF and CPT UI before but was having somewhat of a time figuring out "why" I would want to do so. This videos made it crystal clear! I believe that this is the biggest takeaway from the tutorial. Cheers! Lyle

Great tutorial. I'm wondering if you can help me. I have ACF and ACF front end form for my users to upload audio (ACF field: File). I have this content to publish after the user uploads. This all works fine, except I want the uploaded audio file to be playable from the front end. How do I achieved this?

Hi , I follow all your steps until 18:40 and then instead of the screen you have, it takes me out of the dashboard sidebar and a screen that says add title and below Start writing. I f I try to go back there is only the W icon and it makes me hit publish or lose content. is this a new change in WP? Cause you just left me in the dust. Thanks

Yes that is WordPress's new editing experience. If you click save before clicking on the W, you will not lose anything.

Ah okay, I found the answer. By creating a normal page and using the 'Pro Posts' plugin. (However, I cannot use my custom ordering).

I have a dumb question - when do you create custom post types and when taxonomies or tags, I have a client I would like to use the custom post types for - they sell campers rvs etc. my question how do i best sort the listings 1. RV 2.MOTORHOME 2.1 SUB CAT A 2.2 SUB CAT B 3. CAMPER In my trial run I just set up one post type and created tags for each to make them searchable but each needs a different set of fields when it comes to spec's do i set up custom post types for each or just create different taxonomies? Your Video is awesome by the way... just confused on how this goes together when there are variable forms to assemble for the data display and data collection. Hoping you can clarify!

Hi Adam, Fantastic video. Cleared lots of my doubts. I am building up multivendor site and am using Dokan for that. CPT UI taxonomy is working perfectly with woocommerce and is showing up in admin panel. However I wish to show CPT UI taxonomy in Dokan vendor product edit dashboard to enable the vendor to select the appropriate taxonomy. How can I do it?

Excellent! Could you help me to understand hierarchical post types, though. I have parent CPT "Books" with children "Adventure", "How To", and "Graphic Novel". I see the hierarchical setting in the type settings but don't see how to connect. Each of the children has different ACF and templates and I would like to show them on a "Books" archive page. Hi Adam. In E-Pro Categories don’t have a featured image. So when creating categories pages, I can’t use 1 post type and dynamically change featured images. I’m having to create a page per category. Does ACF etc solve this and give categories featured images? Thanks

Hi, Can I use ACF to add new users? I want to add some more fields to add new user form while creating a new user. For example, I want to add phone_no, bio_data, website_url, and some more fields.

I believe you can add additional fields however how you populate those fields is another question. That would depend on how you're getting that data in.

When I extend a user pod and adding custom fields in extended pods, it comes on user edit page, but these extended fields are not coming on add new user form. Can you help me with this please?

This doesn't work for us :( We keep getting the same message over and over again, not matter how many ways we try to fix it. Doesn't work. The error message we keep getting is: "Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call 'the_content' function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page."
