opened up MO2 and go to get sky ui and immediatly run into a problem, vortex for the win lmao, im too stupid to figure all this out so i guees ill go my life without playing this game ever, not playing an outdated rpg i need mods to make it managable
It's just straight skill man. Mad respect. Machinama is probably the word you want to search. I just searched "skyrim machinima tools" on Google and there were some very promising video results that came up, including what looks like a tutorial series even. I'd check that out if you're interested.
Look through his mod reviews, there's a mod he reviews that lets you do this and he says he uses it all the time. GS Poses is another one, although that's more suited for female characters and is meant to be sexually alluring. If I find the mod, I'll come back to this comment with an edit as I'm thinking about getting it myself. EDIT: In fact, I've been finding numerous mods that would help with this by exploring his videos, so I'll just edit them in as I discover them. EDIT 2: So far, Proteus may be useful to you as it allows you to easily change the weather. That could come in handy with scenes. Console Binder is another mod that lets you hotkey console commands. Very useful for screenshotting, you could set "tfc" (toggle free cam) or "tm" (toggle menu) as a hotkey instead of having to open the console every time as well as others. You could also use it to change the weather instead of Proteus if you wish. EDIT 3: FreeFly Cam is another great mod for cinematic camera shots. EDIT 4: KreatE allows you to edit numerous visual aspects of Skyrim in real-time and allows you to save presets. EDIT 5: Last edit. The mod I was looking for is CIWM. Custom Idle Wheel Menu. It helps in making your character very expressive and could be very useful in shots.
@@equestrianmidnight5619 hey, first of all i really appreciate you going through all that stuff just to provide this for all of us to use! if you don't mind me asking, and i understand if you think i'm asking the wrong person, but do you have any idea where i could find animations like the one Mern uses for CIWM? it is a custom wheelmenu where you put your own animations, no? Where would i find those custom animations to download? Again, sorry if you have no idea and this bothers you.

Very annoying, so while this comment WAS going to be much more helpful, unfortunately, I'll just keep it short. No, I don't know what the mod is. I would try asking in his server. Hopefully you find what you're looking for.
I wouldn't be surprised if the number of genders is hard-coded, since there's an enby mod but they had to implement that by updating in-game interactions rather than adding a new character creation option. On the upside, if you know which race you want to play as, it should be possible to make a patch in xEdit. RU-vid really isn't a good place to explain how, but if you know your way around xEdit you should be able to look at other custom race patches to see how they work.
This was great! One point I'd like to add as someone who makes maybe too many beautiful characters of all stripes: when importing heads, I like to add a mask ring around the base of the neck. This helps prevent neck gaps if the preset head I'm importing was a different weight than what I'm importing on top of. Love your vids!
But Mern! Even with MO2 i get DSTR files in my root folder where the exe is. I know its from launching the game with SPID distribution at startup but damn it, I didnt know Distar transcended into a computer file lol 😂
That song slaps! Another note on sos, you also need a compatibility patch for ae/ gog. It’s in one of the forums (can’t remember where) but it’s been linked multiple places so searching shouldn’t be hard
Mern Man, you are amazing! This is my third day trying to fix and replay, for the 1000th time, skyrim. Ended up with many issues, still...blue body parts, not being able to install full sos due to conflict with SKSE since the damn Anniversary game came out, etc. Going to make a new profile in MO2 and follow your steps. Oldrim was easier to mod...to me I mean. Thanks a lot for the 2 fantastic male/female character formations videos. Sometimes you want to play as a male in these days of non binary generation .The end of your videos are amazing too. Liked,subscribed.
Quit on females mods, because of AE armours can't bodyslided(just shows regular vanilla preset when equipped) , since it's creation club, which is little sad, well time to delete all my female mods and install male mods and create an bad ass male character. Since normal vanilla skyrim men are pretty buff, idc about using bodyslide, so it will be easier on my fucking sanity. Well I think I will loose same amount of sanity on race menu lmao. Also I have a potato pc, thats why I am deleting all female body changes. I don't use textures just "vivid weathers" for removing the yellowish look( not only yellowish look, it just makes skyrim colours look little better), I would love to be able to overhaul every textures, but my pc would blow up, Skyland AIO is enough for my pc to scream. well atleast my pc can handle some mods like combat mods, UI, gamplayand stuff. Welp enough of me talking, see ya.

Just about to start my first playthrough of Skyrim since AE came out and I'm planning to mod it to Oblivion. Should I stick with SE or get the AE 'upgrade' to make modding easier?
I know this is late but you technically don't need it, the latest version of the game is the AE edition, it's just CC content you're not accessing! If you want to stay "SE" quite literally revert back to the old patch, but I personally don't care.
great video, i wish SAM(full) was in SE and was used, I personally prefer SAM, himbo just looks un-natural and I find ugly personally, SOS itself doesn't have a good in-between to use by itself. High poly heads aren’t working for me any reason why? I’m on Skyrim se and using mo2 and installed it through some other site I found online but it seems to be working for everyone else, I found good alternatives regardless but I’d definitely take the chance to try again with high poly if anyone can help
@@ysmirwulfharth4012 usually you just check on the mod page you downloaded your mod on. If it says its flagged/marked as esl, then the mod will be esl and will not take a plug in slot.
Perfect guide , but 1 point is missing : when opening bodyslide which path should we choose ? by creating a new skyrim folder we need to change the steam path that ends with DATA, should we choose now MO2/mods folder? and we need an output in mo2? Thanks

You know damn well the majority of us are making female characters... That being said I download almost every mod you recommend in all of your videos like its an obligation. Even during my Skyrim breaks I check your channel not even giving the youtube algorithm a chance to recommend your videos to me (which it usually doesn't do anyways) just because I really like the format of your videos. Keep up the great work Mern :)
I'm getting a blue/ethereal mesh texture over all my elves' body, the other races render fine though. Their head and schlongs seem fine though 🤣 Any suggestions?
This is an older comment but if anyone comes across this (or if your question was never answered) it is in fact because of Race-Based Textures (RBT) RBT doesn't come with a set skin, so, you have to go through with whatever default skin you have and manually copy and paste the skin files into the dedicated RBT folders with the same names for each character model (that's more than likely the reason it's always the elves that show up with that lavender color)
