Just started playing Skyrim. The amount of information is overwhelming and the fact that This is the same game I have is kinda mind blowing. I knew Skyrim had a lot of mods, but wow. (I mean, just knowing there's a mod to specifically modify eyelashes says a lot)
Yesterday I found a mod that randomly crumples up rugs found throughout the game and gives you a 5% chance of tripping over a messy carpet. Skyrim truly has the greatest modding community of all time.
@@justv1bin I already started that, twice and soon to be thrice. Had to start over due to me not fully knowing about dependencies and incompatibilities. And also I don't understand how to install certain mod. In the end, my game ended up with characters without animation so I reinstalled it lmao

Alternatively to make BodySlide even better when setting it up in Mo2. When you're adding the exe to the dropdown menu, on the same menu where you choose the exe location, you can click "create files in mod instead of overwrite". I recommend using an empty mod, that way you can activate or deactivate it whenever you want. Which would save a lot of headache of BodySlide spamming your overwrite with tons of files and trying to find where the exported meshes go when you're done building outfits and bodies. This helped save me a LOT of time.
Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Faster HDT-SMP a complete replacement for the original HDT-SMP? (As in you should just remove the original if you have faster installed)

I thought I was doing something wrong bc my character looked weird. I was actually doing nothing wrong but my character was standing in front of a camp fire and my lighting mods was making my character look weird only because of that. After I locked in the preset and got out of race menu and faced away from the fire, my character looked normal
I feel this so much. Through my 1k~+ hours of skyrim I've only recently started using ENBs and heavy visual overhauls to the environment, I was so confused the first time I loaded into the Alternate Start prison and had my character's face lighted so oddly.
The strength of Vortex is to uncomplicate things, I switched from MO2 to Vortex for that reason. If you manage to complicate Vortex, you're using it wrong in my opinion. Making large modlists work is complicated enough without a mod manager getting in the way, it should keep to the basics as simply as possible.
I'm not sure if MO2 has anything similar (I'm already too invested in Vortex, but I did try it for Skyrim VR), but with Vortex, when you "deploy" your load order, ie, push the changes to your data folder from Vortex's mod folder, it can take a while for your plugins list to update. If you need to mark some of those plugins as light, or put them into a merge, you won't know if they actually take up a plugin slot until the plugins list is done loading/refreshing. This process is near instant on small load orders, but with hundreds of mods, this process can take 10s of minutes. If you're deep in a mod-sesh, that means basically taking a 20 minute break every time you want to redeploy because of a change in load order or a new mod being added. Plus, all tutorials are written with MO2 users in mind. Lots of people use Vortex, but when it comes to mod authors making tutorials, or people doing walk throughs, most of them just assume you use MO2. Vortex users truly are the most oppressed race... I still use Vortex, and I'm not going to change, but I still recommend MO2. Edit: I switched to mo2 to get access to merge plugins hide to cut down on my plugins to avoid nearing the 2048 limit.
@@urbonx Do I have to drag every mod to where I want it to be, or will something do a rough version of sorting for me? Right now, I use loot, and deal with the Vortex conflict stuff, but does MO2 have some way to determine where in the order mods go by itself?
ok no idea if anyone is ever going to read this, just leaving this here: I literally spend all day (around 11h straight) modding and learning things sgown in this video :) btw changing your race mid playthrough and getting everything how you want it to be with bodyslides/presets and animations is so much harder then I ever thought it would be :) I'm done and also I'm finished :) have a nice day random person that ready this :)
