How To Create Under Bed Storage | Coleman Lantern 17B

We're in the middle of modifying our Coleman Lantern LT 17B. This video is of us making the under bed storage easier to access. This project only took about 2 hours total and IT WAS WELL WORTH THE EFFORT. Follow us along as we remodel our 17B in the camping off season.
Products:
We didn't use very many products in the video. The only one that is absolutely necessary is the 2X4. If you don't use something, there won't be enough support for the bed after removing all vertical supports from that part of the wall. The pulls are optional and a simple hole for a finger pull would do just fine.

No problem. Most of the upgrades we are doing are more of a personal thing than a necessity but for the starting price it's pretty cost effective to make any upgrades that you want and not feel bad about spending a little money to make it your own

@@SmallFamilyBigDreams Agreed. For the price point, it leaves you some extra coin to make it your own. Additionally, it can be pulled with almost anything.

We have a couch that pulls into a bed in our new trailer, and thinking of how to add a dismantling table to it, like a version of those expensive ones, that you can adjust and swivel

Yes it's very easy it only has a few wood screws holding it all down.

With shortening the master bed for that compartment near the door, where do you sleep?

We didn't have to shorten anything. That's the stock short queen that came with the camper. I typically would sleep on the outside so I could stretch out better.
