How to Create Wi Fi Hotspot on Windows 10 | Techniqued 

This was one of the best tutorials on the web. About a year ago I followed the instructions and they worked perfectly. After the most recent windows updates the ability to select a private network connection (4:16 on the video) has disappeared from the video. So many (if not all) viewers will not be able to set up a WiFi hotspot. By trial and error I was able to re-establish a hotspot. Unfortunately, I don't remember the steps I used. I request the video be replaced with one compatible with the latest Win 10 update. I think the terminal commands are no longer needed.

Thanks for uploading this informative video. However I'm unable to connect my mobile to the wifi hotspot and the messages I get are "Internet may not be available" or "Failed to obtain IP address". Please help me out.

This worked perfectly for me at home. Takes a while for every option to show up after commands have been passed but it does work. And now, to test this at my sucky workplace... :) Thanks for the help and am glad to notice that this doesn't involve any app installation.

it worked! surprisingly! because when i was still using win 8.1, this method works only for a few months then something happened,now after i update my os to win 10 this method works again! dude you're the mvp man. thanks for the great tutorial. quality content. good video. r8 it 9/11 for giggles

it works, in my network and sharing center is written no network but my phone can connect to the created wifi hotspot. thanks a lot brother.

Hello... It works almost perfectly... I have a little problem. this is my scenario: "I use the WiFi which my laptop ''send'' to my phone. I leave from home for a while and when i return home I need to use again the command ''netsh wlan start hostednetwork'' to work again the hotspot''. Laptop's Sleep mode/standby mode cause the disable of hotspot? Is there any solution for this?

so i got a problem and i really need it answered, i did everything the video said. it worked for a few days, then today after my computer went into sleep mode while the internet was on it stopped and i couldnt get it working again. my computer starting acting a bit weird so i factory reset it, any ideas what caused it and how to fix the problem?

Windows 10 Pro. Command-line won't automatically start Mobile Hotspot. So even with your command-line instructions above, when I go to my settings in Windows 10 Pro under: Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot > = Mobile Hotspot is TURNED OFF. It doesn't turn on and the Mobile hotspot is NOT enabled with your instructions above. Do you have a revision based on Windows 10 Pro ?

hey, i am using ethernet connexion but i have a problem when i click on adapter settings and i click on my existing ethernet network and go on propreties - sharing - and click the box it doesnt come up with any option to connect to my new connexion i only comes up with the wireless connexion

i put back here the fix that Siddharth Bhaleraoil give in response of the problem where you have "the group or resources is not in the correct state to perform the requested operarion" Go to "device manager" then on "wiew" click on "show hidden devices" then right click on "Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter" and enable it ! now go back to your command and relunch the last sentence to start the network. Enjoy ! !:) PS : Make sure your wifi card is enable too :)
