Hey Paul, Thank you ever so much for this, it's perfect and what I've been trying to find for several months. I've already subscribed to your channel, but I must have missed this. keep up the great work 👏
Amazing stuff. So if we can unzip and re-zip, we now have the ability to change the XML of any office document. I'm going to be busy playing for a few weeks now.
Yep - Had a look at your content - I bet you’re gonna produce some amazing solutions. Be cool if you got in touch through my blog - would love to connect with someone with your skills
Hi Paul, Thanks for your video.. Really helpful and right time I'm watching this 👍😊 My use case here is, Image compression in sharepoint online using rest api and trying to create a html file by having 70+ images and converting into pdf using Power Automate without using any premium & third party connectors. Going with one Drive option and Capturing and uploading images through powerapps and storing it sharepoint document library. Due to 2mb limitation of html file, not able to achieve the pdf generation by having single pdf with all 70+ images. Through your video, planing to split the pdf and store it into one drive by having 6 files and making a zip file finally.. Please share your insights on this and not sure my approach is correct in order to achieve the same. Thanks!
Thank you Paul for this. Curious of your thoughts on a folder with different doc types such as pdf, word doc, png, jpegs etc and concatenating them into a single pdf doc. I dont have access to the third party tools and have been trying to do this with work arounds.
Absolutely genius! this works for me perfectly without purchasing 3rd party connectors. Quickie question though, is there a possibility to put more protection to it? like adding password on my zipfile?
Thank you so much for sharing this extremely helpful video. I just have a problem that when I zip a sharepoint folder with more than 30 documents, it only zips the first 30. Do you know what could be the problem?
Hi - Thank you for sharing this! I am having trouble getting started. I am not able to edit flow code (generally) within Power Automate. I can "peek" at code but cannot edit. I have searched on how to enable this but cannot find a solution. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Hey Paul, great idea, thanks for sharing. Have you found a way around the download zip file size constraint of 100mb? - "Http request failed as there is an error: 'Cannot write more bytes to the buffer than the configured maximum buffer size"
Hi Paul, Thank you for the video! We managed to get it working on a test domain and it was a lifesaver But then switching to the formal company one, we got 401 UNAUTHORIZED Can you help me or point to what I could try in the function to get it back working again? Still, thank you very much for the video!
Hi, thanks for this. its very handy. I have noticed it seems to have a limit of 90mb of total size for the items needing to be zipped. do you know if this limit can be configured to be higher? Also, we are initiating the process through a Sharepoint App we are running, the we store the details of the files/folders to zip in a json file and the process initates when the json file gets created. We then poll the folder waiting for the zip file to be created. We cant seem to get the process below 30 seconds, most of the time its about 1 minute to 90 seconds to run. Do you have any ideas on how we might be able to speed it up?
Thank you for the instructions, one question, I tried to copy and past from my clipboard but after I copied your information as per your instruction, it does not show up in my clipboard.
Would there be anyway to implement this with Sharepoint list attachments? I would like to download all attachments for an sharepoint list item into a zip file.
Big thanks for the tutorial. Found something interesting though: The resulting file doesn't match the mime type of the file content, so I'm unable to upload the resulting .xlsx to some websites which perform MIME type checking. Not sure if this is related, but I took a look at the file signatures and it appears bits 7 & 8 are different, the latter being that of - 50 4B 03 04 14 00 06 00 vs 50 4B 03 04 14 00 08 08 (new). Any suggestions on how to overcome this?
@Paul : How can zip files which are available inside multiple folder. In your case all the files are in Shared Document> Test Zip. What if I have structure like Share Document > Folder 1 > test1.png Share Document > Folder 2 > test2.png Share Document > Folder 3 > test3.png Looking for your reply on urgent basis.
Many thanks for the video Paul. However, the download zip file for me is throwing an error saying "Unexpected response from the service". Any idea as to what i can modify, as i really need this solution
Many people have - if you’re struggling with this flow, which is understandable considering trying my zip connector: tachytelic.net/2024/06/create-zip-file-power-automate/
Thank you for this video. I only have a issue in the HTTP step, ir returns the error: "File Not Found. clientRequestId: 5474c654-51cb-410c-ac95-23ae198a533c serviceRequestId: 1e00dea0-b02c-7000-5771-100059b65eeb" Can you help me?
Great work Paulie - I'm struggling with "download ZIP" - getting this: "401 UNAUTHORIZED clientRequestId: 5fc65939-74a3-496a-8a6d-a1c19f62ffd2 serviceRequestId: 464451a0-90e3-4000-b5a2-0a0576046d9f" Any ideas what to look at?
@@TrailersYT In the downloadZIP for the Site Address try to set this: @body('SharePointHTTP')['ListSchema']['.mediaBaseUrl']. Just verify that you have SharePointHTTP for a name of the previous SharePoint post request action.
Hello Paulie, thanks for share with us the flow! Can you please help me? On downloadZip step, i got the following error and I'm not sure how to fix it: 'Cannot write more bytes to the buffer than the configured maximum buffer size: 104857600.'.
I guess the result of what you were trying to zip was more than 100Mb - which is the maximum size for a flow action. Do you think that could be possible?
