Thank you so much for teaching me how to crochet. You're such a good teacher and if there were a love button instead of the like button I would press it every time. xxx
Thank you so much for showing in detail how to make the hexagon granny . I'm fairly new to crochet ,but since I know the basic stitches I was excited to understand just how to make this 💕💕💕
The chain 4 at the beginning of each round is actually a double crochet plus one chain. So each time you begin, you have a chain space within your first group of three. Or your first group of two. Anyway you look at it, a chain four is a double crochet plus one chain. A double crochet would be represented by only three chains.
For newbs reading these comments, Ch4 is also a stand in for Triple Crochet. Essentially, the # of chains to stand in for a stitch should equal the total number of required motions it takes to pull up the loop and then work through all remaining loops according to the stitch (the exception being Single Crochet which requires 2 motions but is Ch1). So, Half Double Crochet = 2 motions = Ch2, Double Crochet = 3 motions = Ch3, etc...
Love this tutorial on the Granny Hexagon... can't wait to try this!! Do you have a tutorial on join-as-you-go for the Granny Hexagon?? I'd love to use that method to join these motifs!!!
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! :) It's an excellent video, because it's just the right pace to be able to crochet along with the video. :) I was wondering if you had a tip for me; when I make granny hexagons, they tend to go much wavier than yours (Exponentially so when they get bigger), is there any way to combat that?
Hi Jennifer, I have been making a throw blanket with these granny hexagons for a long time. I would like to fill in the gaps at the end of the row, like this \_/ . I have tried to create a half hexagon but have not succeeded so far. The only tutorials I have found show 4 rounds instead of 5. Can you please post a tutorial for this please? Kind regards from Australia!
I asked a couple of months ago if you were able to do a tutorial on how to do a half hexagon to accompany the full hexagon in this tutorial. I have tried several other sites etc but there are not enough round so fill the gap. This hexagon is 6 rounds/rows, the others are between 4-5. I've attempted to modify this tutorial to make a half hexagon but to no avail. Please please can anyone help? The blanket is a gift for my granddaughter. Many thanks
Hi do you have any patterns to make this in half granny hexagon and v section. I am wanting to do a rug in this pattern but want straight edges. Hope you can help?
