Cut off yarn. Medium petal x4 R1: Make a double ring. Ch 2. 10 dc in the ring. Slst to 1st st. [10 sts] R2: Ch 2. (Hdc increase)x10. Slst to 1st st. [20 sts] R3: Ch 1. 2 sc. (Sc, Sc inc)x8. 2 sc. Slst to 1st st. R4: Ch 1. 9 sc. (Hdc inc)x10. 9 sc. Slst to 1st st. Ch 1. Cut off yarn. Large petal x5 R1: Make a double ring. Ch 2. 10 dc in the ring. Slst to 1st st. [10 sts] R2: Ch 2. (Hdc increase)x10. Slst to 1st st. [20 sts] R3: Ch 2. (Hdc, Hdc inc)x10. Slst to 1st st. [30 sts] R4: Ch 1. 8 sc. (Hdc inc)x6. In the same st do (1 hdc, 1 dc). Ch 3 then the left leg of the 1st chain of the Ch3 and do a slip stitch {this is called a picot}. In the next stitch, do (1 dc, 1 hdc). (Hdc inc)x6. 8 sc. Slst to 1st st. Ch 1. Cut off yarn. Leaf x2 R1: Slip knot. Ch 12. Make 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. 1 hdc. 1 dc. 1 triple crochet. 1 tc inc. 1 tc. 1 tc inc. 1 tc. 1 dc. 1 hdc. Last stitch do 3 sc. Other side work while hiding the tail: 1 hdc. 1 dc. 1 tc. 1 tc inc. 1 tc. 1 tc inc. 1 tc. 1 dc. 1 hdc. 1 sc. Slst to 1st st. R2: Insert the wire. 12:58 Ch 1. (1sc, ch 2)x13 Top of the leaf: (1sc, Ch 3, do the picot, 1 sc) (1 sc, Ch 2) repeat until the end. Last stitch do 1 sc. Slst to 1st st. Ch 1. Wrap the tail of yarn around the wire. Cut. Flower torus R1: Make a double ring. Ch 1. 6 sc in the ring. Closed the ring. Slst to 1st st. R2: Ch 1. [Sc, Sc Inc]x6. [12 sts] R3: Ch 1. (Sc, Sc inc)x6. [18 sts] R4: 18 sc R5: Ch 7. This is one of the nicest rose patterns I've done..I needed some smaller roses so I did one with 2, 2 and 3 leaves and it still looked like a fabulous rose and will fit into the bridesmaids bouquets I'm making. Super pattern and explanation.

I worked on this for the past two days, definitely a tough one since it was my first time doing a triple and picot stitch. It came out good but my petals weren’t 100% consistent. This was really great practice for stitch counting and consistency. You also explain everything very well! I’ll soon try again to get better

What do you mean by ( hdc inc) is it in the same stitch or hdc in first stitch then on the next stictch is inc ? Thank you

Questions: Is this DK or Fingering yarn? I always get confused with 4ply. Second Question: Would this pattern work with worsted weight, or is that too thick? Thus would make it very big. I don't know the size difference in working something in fingering vs worsted
