I love this tutorial. Its perfect for someone who's not a beginner, doesn't need to know how to create the stitches or how to change colors...just how to create the pattern. I look forward to watching more from you.
Omg this is exactly what I’ve been looking for, I bought a 24 skein bag of multi coloured yarn and this pattern is perfect for them. Thank you so much for creating this beautiful blanket pattern
Thank you Ms. Tamara for the wonderful lesson on the Log Cabin Afghan. It's also an easy way to use your leftover yarn in different colors. God bless you.
I like this one. I've been doing a lot of small afghans and making each a different stitch/pattern, and I love doing these from the center or c2c type afghans, as I'm using the Mandala yarn and using 2 balls of each, so doing these types mean I don't have to worry about yarn amounts.
Love this!! Gonna try but using herringbone half double crochet for a different look and going to start with chain 12 with 10 across and only 5 rows up..thanks love your videos
Thanks so much for sharing your time with us. I have always wanted to make a blanket and this pattern for me. But I will change it up a bit and crochet in the back loop and do the linked DC. I can't wait to share my pictures with y'all. I plan to do 4 blankets ; they will be for my daughter's.
I am a advanced beginner and like to try to do different patterns for making afghans. I have watched many yet I will say this...your videos are the best. So clear and easy to understand. Your site also is great with the written patterns. I can't wait to start this project.
Thank you Your Afghan is so unique. It's going to be so nice; just love it. You've made it so clear and understandable. Love your technique. Again thank you so much can't wait to try this. 😄
Hi Tamara, I love your style of crocheting. It's so unique! I follow all your techniques.. Specially the chainless standing DC. You are an awesome teacher.
I absolutely love this!!! I didn't even get through the whole video before I was up running to the store to grab some yarn! I got the buttercream luxe craft rainbow boucle yarn in the color slates and pinks, I've never seen a yarn quite like it and it's working amazingly! I just started a couple hours ago and I'm enjoying this so much! I can't wait to make more in all the colors! good call on the self striping otherwise what a headache! thank you so much for this! I really appreciate it!
Great video. You made very clear. I am a beginner and I absolutely understand. Thanks for the time to took to make the video and sharing it. Claps.....
This looks easier than the Ten-Stitch crochet afghan I started this weekend. (I believe the LYS I shop at chose that pattern for its afghan contest because there were both knit and crochet versions of it.) The next time I start a charity afghan that's not having to meet a contest's rules, I might try doing a "log cabin" afghan, instead of my usual granny-square throws and baby blankets. I certainly have enough scrap and single-skein yarns in stash to make a very colorful log cabin afghan!
Tamara I love whatt you're doing Your instruction is so plain and clear thank you for taking your time and sharing with everyone. I am in the process of making one. BUT... Im not srue how to send you a pic Sry But it's coming out pretty good for my first one like this. Thank you so much Happy Crocheting
Hooray! I've searched & searched for an afghan pattern for my godson & his bride. Just couldn't settle on a pattern/yarn/colors that seemed to suit them. Until now! This pattern is perfect -- retro & cozy, yet sleek & geometric. Love the Lion brand "Textures" yarn, great feel to it. I'm using the Ocean Waves color way. Soothing blues that will complement many color schemes as they move around (he's a young Marine). Just got started, but already love the look. Simple pattern, but lots of visual interest. Thank you thank you thank you! Not only love the pattern, but your super clear tutorial (as always!) made it a snap to pick up. Appreciate the little tips & techniques you share once you've gone over the step-by-step instructions. You really do have a genius for teaching! Did I mention: Thanks!!
I love this look, I made an Afghan for my mom for Mother’s Day and she loved it. I’d like to make another one to kind of match the other one bringing in some of the same colors, but a different look. But I want it to be one piece not squares assembled later. So my question is, can I take the colors I used for the previous Afghan and use this method? Would it work, or look sloppy?
I’ve not seen the kind of yarn for you blanket course that’s been awhile it looks like would some of the new color changing yarns like Lion Brand Mandala work? I love you videos the pattern looks pretty easy.
she does say if you are changing yarns at each block, then just turn the same way every time. I'm thinking however, if you are wanting to use all one yarn without cutting, maybe make the first block 6 or 8 instead of 7 to be able to start the second block on the other side and then maybe the rest can be done with 7 rows to keep going that way?
+michelle krebs The sky is the limit! :) Each will give a different look! I would recommend you go to the blog link above, print out the chart, and grab some crayons/colored pencils to try different ways of filling it in! :)
Can you tell me what kind of yard is it? I mean the composition because it looks so soft and that's what I am looking for. Is it wool with another mixture......? Thanks for helping
I just joined your your channel I’m looking to you for an easy shawl pattern and I’m also legally blind so I listen to all that you say so please can you tell me what you’re working with what color it is so that I can understand what you’re talking about and if you can can you read some of the comments thank you very much God bless
Hello Sylvia, and thank you! I will try to be better about naming colors going forward, thank you so much for the feedback. And I will try to do better at reading comments during lives that I reply to. ♥
Tamara Kelly - Moogly Oh OK Thank you. I have finished this blanket with your tutorial of course! It turned out beautiful! Made a square table cloth and the table I have it in my terrace. Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸
Then I will have to change the 12X7 on two sides because I do not want a square blanket! I am already making it. I'm a beginner with crochet and you explain very good!!! Just one more question, can you tell me what material is the one you show already finished, at the beginning of the video. Thank you and greeting from Spain.
