WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS: wilmade.com/cr...
Hi guys! With this simple method you can create straight seams instead of diagonal seams when working in joined rounds with half double crochet stitches. Working in joined rounds (vs continuous rounds) means you make a slip stitch at the end of every row and start a new row with a chain.
I have used this technique for my Simple Dress To Impress which you can find here (free pattern): wilmade.com/si...

This was so helpful! I kept having to unravel my soap saver because no matter what the seam kept going sideways! And I had been following the video pattern exactly! Thank you!!!

Should have watched this tutorial earlier... Now I'm left with the choice - undo my project, or start having a straight line in the middle of the project? 😭🤣

@@lindamullins9177 i undid my project. I knew id hate the garment if i kept it as it was, so in the long run it would be best to frog everything and start over.

Yes I was wondering why my slip-stitch would go diagonal even when following tutorials and theirs wouldn’t! I wasn’t sure what I was doing wrong! Thank you!

I tried following your instructions as exactly as possible when making a sweater vest but for some reason the number of stitches are decreasing :/

Thank you! I'm trying to get this for a buffalo plaid cup cozy. The switching of colours is making it confusing though

What happens to the seam if you have to decrease or increase during the round? Does it still stay straight?
