Hi everyone! In today's tutorial i wanna show you how to crochet a Magic Ring (a.k.a. magic circle, adjustable ring or magic loop ), which is a basic crochet technique used to work in rounds.

AMAZING..I have been trying to learn this for years. This is the very first time I could actually achieve the magic ring. I have been trying SO HARD, to learn this. Several videos and even friends trying to teach me; didn't work. Always avoided patterns with a MR and when I came across halfway through this current one and saw I needed on i got discouraged until I found this! Thank you so much!!!!

This is one of the best magic ring tutorials I've ever seen... I usually have to watch a video over and over before I can do it and since I'm left handed it never seems to work out correctly, but since you did the slow motion, I was able to move it to my right hand and FINALLY I made the loop left handed and it worked perfectly! I have watched many, many RU-vid videos to try to learn how to crochet the Magic Ring with NO success! I kept watching more videos trying to use the techniques that they demonstrated and feeling bad because I couldn't get it. Pacing here is perfect: he keeps stopping to let us look for a minute at what he is doing. That's also a chance to stop the video and do it ourselves. At the end there's a slow-motion repetition, which I found immensely helpful. But keep watching--at the end he explains how to make the ring bigger if you need to. This is by far the best magic-ring tutorial I've seen.

This tutorial is so easy to understand, and taught in a way that made me feel as like I was just someone new to this technique and not like I was not smart enough to understand. Many of the tutorials I watch make me feel as though I am being talked down to, and leaving me confused and looking for another one to watch. I found a no gap no holes granny squares pattern on line I wanted to do but the first step was to do the magic loop. I’m glad I found your video so now I’m able to challenge myself to do my first blanket. I think it was thoughtful to use large string and needles. As a beginner crocher, I thank you and appreciate your time and help.
