These yo-yos are made in concentric squares of joined circles, each being made in two parts and joined as they are created, instead of being crocheted individually and joined together later. With this technique you can make squares of any size.

I know this is late coming to the table, but if anyone else out there is wanting to carry on & make the square larger, I sat & worked out the chains needed for subsequent rows. Basically, it's how many gaps between the circle, minus the joining circle x 6 plus 4 for the first chain. So Row 2: Ch 70 (11 gaps = 66 + 4) 12 Yoyos Row 3: Ch 118 (19 gaps = 114 + 4) 20 Yoyos Row 4: Ch 166 (27 gaps = 162 + 4) 28 Yoyos Row 5: Ch 214 (35 gaps = 210 + 4) 36 Yoyos Row 6: Ch 262 (43 gaps = 258 + 4) 44 Yoyos Row 7: Ch 310 (51 gaps = 306 + 4) 52 Yoyos I so very nearly gave up on this pattern, but a bit of thought & some scribbles, plus a bit of searching & I got there in the end!

Julie Sherris Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! As this information was left out of the original tutorial, it left us all frustrated trying to figure out how to continue. Julie you are an angel! Thanks again for counting the stitches needed and for sharing with the rest of us!!

Trese, we don't have plans to offer a video on the lattice edging for the first square of the 2015 WEBS MCAL. Our technique videos are meant to help you work through new and unique stitch patterns or combinations but are not meant to function as a video form of any of our patterns.

I love the flower yo yo blanket. With the yo yo in the center and 6 yo yo's around the center yo yo. Are there any instructions how to crochet that.
@websyarn

We don't have instructions on how to do that specifically, but you might be able to alter the basic technique demonstrated in the video to achieve the join you're looking for.

Will you be posting a youtube video of the lattice work (if that is what it is called) around the square of yo-yos? I follow the visual so much better than the written. Any help would be wonderful!!!

I'm sorry for being redundant, I see that people asked but I can't find the answers! How many do you chain for 2nd, 3rd row and so on? I started with the 22... Is there a way to figure out the next ones? Thank you!!

+Stacey Acculto, you'll want to download our free Valley Yarns #644 Mystery Crochet-A-Long Blanket for the pattern. This video is intended to demonstrate the technique and isn't the full pattern. However, if you want to make a square larger than our pattern's version, you'll need to find another pattern. It's not a simple multiple so it's harder to figure out successive rounds. www.yarn.com/product/valley-yarns-644-crochet-blanket/

I really need an accurate count for the chains to do the next rows. I'm in the process of making this blanket and I'm either getting too many left over chains or not enough chains. PLEASSSSSSSE HELP MEEEEEEEE 😩

I want to continue with the circles not the blanket in that pattern
@websyarn
@websyarn 7 лет назад
We don't have a pattern for that as this video was part of our tutorial for the above blanket pattern. But does Julie Sherries comment from above help?: "I know this is late coming to the table, but if anyone else out there is wanting to carry on & make the square larger, I sat & worked out the chains needed for subsequent rows. Basically, it's how many gaps between the circle, minus the joining circle x 6 plus 4 for the first chain. So Row 2: Ch 70 (11 gaps = 66 + 4) 12 Yoyos"
