I’ve been using antiseptic mouthwash, warm salt water, anbesol numbing cream, and ice packs with a ton of Tylenol. No relief whatsoever. No dentist will see me for another 3 months, and I feel like I’ve gotten shot in the face. Constant pulsating pain in my jaw, neck and the entire left side of my head. I’ve torn my ACL before, I’ve broken fingers, and Ive even had surgery removing a large portion of my throat… this is the worst pain I’ve ever been in. I haven’t slept in 4 days and I’m in a constant state of adrenaline/anxiety. I went to my local emergency room, they did absolutely nothing for me, they gave me Tylenol (which I already had) and pretty much said “that sucks dude, go home!” I have no idea what to do.

I don't really have any pain, it's just a numb swelling at the base of my rear lower tooth on the inside not quite as far back as the wisdom tooth

Bonjella too people!!! It’s actually teething gel for babies but holy wow, it works!!!! It lasts for ages too!! Oil Of Cloves is also amazing, totally numbs but be careful, it’s unbearably bad tasting & strong & avoid getting any on your chin or lips cause it burns but it’s very good too & what I used while waiting to get my root canal done…. But since I’ve discovered Bonjella, I just use that, it’s incredible, never would’ve thought something safe for babies could possibly work for this level of pain but it does!! Hope this helps!! 🙏🏼💜

The warm salt water rise works like a charm takes a bit to work, I did mine after right taking my pain meds to give me some relief while I wait for the meds to work, I also eat ice

So glad the remedy is found in every household.. salt and warm water. I can feel the swoll all the way on the underside of my jaw. Lower right wt for me. I used 10 min of war water salt thing, to kill the streptococs, but my gumm is insufficiently perforated, inspite my wt is coming out straight... if tomorrow I woke up with half my face swallen I'm gonna seek the dentist. Uhh... I sense superficial burn on my gumm from all that salt... hope it works... I'll be sleeping on the same side, hoping all that salt collects near my wt... I'm not able to afford emergency care and for several reasons not registered with one in the town I moved to this year. I've certainly already tried the various popular at home treatments such as salt water gargling, painkillers, upkeepinh dental hygiene despite pain and bleeding, chewing cloves, having no sugar in diet and eating soft foods only. I am 26 and suffering a lot. This is extremely inconvenient. I only recently started the temping job and have had to refuse any work due to this additional pain. I'm already suffering form chronic disease including with prurigo nodularis on whole body, severe widespread pain, depression and fatigue,to say the least. I am struggling to even sit up and type this comment. I am extremely upset and any further advice would be appreciated as go what can be done at home or can someone come here? I can't se any solutions other than giving up right now but unfortunately I don't even have the capacity to do so. Wow salt water is the key for it, i did it and feel better already. I've been in pain for 5 days and on top of that i'm taking antibiotics but i don't know they're working so slow on the infection. Hopefully the pain is gone for good and i'll just continue taking the antibiotics for a few more days to complete 8 days..
