Love all your vids man, you always manage to motivate me to getting into my own projects. Can I ask thought for someone who has only ever done spray painting with a can and want to look into going and getting a compressor and spray gun what sized compressor, what type of gun and what other bits and pieces I should look at getting?
Thanks for the instruction. The best and most professional so far. I have a quick question though. I will be using the spray paints you recommended but instead of red will use the transparent black from dupli color. But if I use VHT nite shades black instead, is it the same as the dupli color but as different brand? Thanks
I have another question. instead of using clear with 10% black, can I use a light black tinting aerosol? sorry if my questions are stupid :( I'm a noob.
I was planning on just blacking out my taillights a glossy black. They sell it in a spray paint can for tail lights at my local lowes, but is it illegal in Pennsylvania and can it come off if it gets fucked up?
+stayve yeah bro just go to auto zone and ask for pealable taillight tint or headlight tint. looks good to just beware tinted tail lights love to get dirty lol
Awesome vid, just a quick note ,not being a smart ass but shouldn't you have masked up the reflector on the side of the tail light as a safety precaution
Question. wouldn't you have to wetsand the part where you painted meets the part you didn't? Even with clear coat over it won't it still have a lip from the two different paint surface levels?
ah ok i was just wondering, I did stripes on my car and it left a lip and was wondering if you just wetsand the top most basecoat layer or if you don't because it might not make the line as crisp.
This coupe is really nice and I think people shouldn't coplain about the lack of power but when it comes to esthetics.. it's so ugly with those thin ass wheels and tail light straight out of a corola
in most countries you can not alter the lights. you can add but you can't alter the factory lights..in my country your vehicle would be pulled out of service till you put the factory ones back to original..they are colored specifically to meet the law.even dash lights in most countries have to be a specific color.. i know they sell aftermarket light and colored clusters, but they also sell after market blown engines running on alcohol and they can't be legally used.some countries you can't alter the suspension even if you want to improve it..so before you go painting your tail lights or changing your dash lights check with your local cops.that way your car doesn't get towed pulled out of service or you end up with a wad of tickets.
