Can you help me providing some measurements please? I like to know how "thick" the mechanism rail on top is and how thick the compressed stack of blinds are please...

Also I like to narrow down the 80 cm version to about 66 cm...Any pointers in regards to the spring tension or length and the weight of the mild steel block in the bottom rail ?

Nice one, thats what i was looking for! I bought 100cm length, but need it to be 84cm for my campervan windows. One of the sides is easy to cut as no mechanism is in the way but only allows removal of around 100mm, hence need to drill out the rivets and relocate the spring holder on the other side. I took the spring out i with the screwdriver and learned the hard way thats not the way to do it... My finger still hurts haha

Hi thankyou for your comments. To answer your question the blind is 2.5cm thick but the cloth/material has a honey comb construction.

@@johnmcmeeken5625 Oh okay, I was referring to the aluminum profile in its upper part, it seems wider. Thanks again! 3:26

I found the best saw blade is to use is a hand saw for metal with 22 teeth per inch. I hope this answers your question.

Can I shorten it by 25cm (from 120cm to 95cm). Will it still work with proper tension.

This seems to be a rather large amount to remove, so No the proper tension will not be applied. Have you checked the next standard size smaller? Eg there maybe a blind at 90cm. However if you have already purchased the 120cm wide blind, I would take the spring off the anchor end and tie the spring 25cm from the anchor point, hold the blind up and see if the bottom falls down. Hopefully this is of some help. Best wishes

@@johnmcmeeken5625 Thanks for the reply. I have not yet purchased. I had my doubts that's why enquired. 100cm in Black is not available in my place. So now I have to buy in white 100cm. I have to shorten by 3cm. Can I do it on the other side instead of the spring side.
