Been wearing a poly-base hair system since December 2023 - I’m relatively new to the game. With my skin tone and hair colour/density match up I get away with a thicker looking hair system. I also get away with being able to use tape for the hairline. When applying tape to the hairline, I use tracing paper to mark out the hairline section of the base and then use that as a guide to cut pieces of walker tape to so that they match the edge of the hairline exactly. Then like a jigsaw I put each piece onto the hairline (for the rest of the system I just apply tape normally. This approach helps me get the hairline on point with tape. I’m personally not a fan of glue as I find that it causes the hairline base to turn an off-white colour that creates a shine at the hairline. Tape has worked better for me. Once I’ve done a year of using poly, I’m going to graduate to a lace system.
@@pagzplay fair enough. Does glue mess up a lace base? I avoid glue with a poly base because over time the base becomes an off whiteish colour that causes the hairline to shine brighter than a love islander’s glow in the dark teeth.
@@donragnar8430 Yes Glue can affect a Lace System and why I like Lace and a Poly perimeter and just Glue the perimeter. Tape is easier and Glue can make your Hairline shiny but Glue makes a better Hairline if you want an Exposed Hairline. Tape is good for a Hairline that is down in the front though.
@@donragnar8430 So when you start wearing Lace get a Poly perimeter because they are a lot better and you can Tape or Glue it whatever you feel more comfortable doing and both will work.

@HairSystemDIY thank you, sir. I'm struggling with the density, and you look amazing. As im 57 and can't afford a custom system as it can double in price as you know. Looked at the Tyler . But hopefully I don't lose the pu side's after cutting to the template if you know what I mean looks really comfortable like a silk pillow on your head. Hey Adam, trust you are doing well. Wanted to know that if I can cut the system base, wash the hair and attach it to my head on my own, would it be ok if I get the hair cut done from any upmarket salon stylist ??
Do you ever go out in Public now without a Hat or your Hair System on? It is a huge change without your Hair on and more for me because i do not have all the Natural Hair you have on the sides to make me less Bald.
