You're FEARLESS! I cut my 14 yr. locs off myself last month, but scared to do my own barbering. I'm finding it difficult to find a consistent barber who can style females. I might have to take matters into my own hands. Thanks for sharing your skills.

Christina Thomas i just cut 50% of my 10 yr locs down with a view to picking out the rest to achieve a similar shape as beautycutright. I'm now just over a week from my surgery which has a lengthy recovery. i feel like shaving the whole lot off as i dont have time. i have tons of regrowth though so should be able to achieve a 4 inch afro at least if i just cut them with scissors. How did you get on? 😃

Mid last year I found a barber that I love and he knows what he is doing! I have a scheduled appt. every other Sat.

@@DollyMat After many several trial and errors I found a great barber. I got so many compliments. During the pandemic when everything was shut down the first chance I got I went back to my locs. My barbering skills were abysmal.

Thanks so much for this video! You're awesome! :-) I have hair similar to yours. But, when my hair gets wet, it produces naturally thick curls. When I go to barbers, they only like to use electric clippers which ALWAYS cut off way more hair length than I really want _(which makes it tough for my hair to curl)_. The last time that happened, it took nearly 6 weeks for my hair to grow back to the length that I really like and produces the best curls. So, now, I just use shears and I careful cut down to the length I like.

Every 3 years or so I cut my hair off and do this look. It took me about 2 tries to understand my angles and cleaning the neck up.

Yasssss love it! You need to call me. Of course im natural however, im thinking about putting a relaxer in, because my hair seems not the same since I got my hair straighten back in December. My hair is cut like yours. I need help i dont know what to do at this point. I have 2 weeks this is when my next hair appt is with my hair stylist.

I love my natural hair. However, my stylist flat iron my hair dry and it smelled burnt for a week ever after i wash it the day before I got braids.

what is the trick to blending hair with clippers? I have some what of tapered cut..sides shaved low top longer but not actually shaped. when I part my sides left/right and around in a u shape..I always end up with separation of short and long hair and it looks weird because it's not blended. I hope I explained it right.

kiasmn Well for a better look it is best to do an undercut with clippers. However, if you are planning to leave an amount of hair on the undercut them shears/scissors can work =)

I am barber by profession, I bought mine professional haircut scissors online from www.amazon.co.uk/shops/A2OQZFLZMS572V, it has an extra-long crane shape handle with ball-bearing screw make cutting fantastic smooth, are made of Japanese Stainless Steel and have Thick and short sword back blades make cutting very soft.
