How to cut out unforced errors (especially if you're not quick)

Doesn't matter if you're a 3.0, 5.0, or a professional tennis player. Everyone wants to reduce the number of errors they make. A lot of club players think the key to reducing errors is to improve their technique, and while that's big, it's not just about HOW you hit. It's also about WHERE you hit.
Related, if you're making mistakes because you're not quick and get out of position, what strategy can you use to keep better position? That's what I cover in the second half of the video.

One moral/lesson of the story: if you’re going to go down the line before your opponent, you should have first hit a high quality crosscourt shot beforehand.

If by moving (running around a forehand or backhand) you create a ball that now does not cross the imaginary line, would the premise hold that you could change the directions of your return?

Yep! That's what the pros do all the time.

Yes, use The Newt! Not gonna give away all his material in the comments, but he definitely covers it in the book.

@@frabsurdity I'm not sure if this is a troll reply or not, but it's the book that is being advertised on this channel. The Singles Playbook.

@@InfiniteQuest86 yeah I just stumbled on this as a recommended video. I was thinking that I should find myself a good book on strategy as I watched. Thanks.

Whoever coined the terms unforced or forced error is unimaginable & lost: 1) No player would intentionally force his own error. (unless match-fixing) 2) All errors are unforced. So it is simply an error. Same count, same point, same score.
