Really? Was it that easy? I have to cut one up Tuesday. It’s located in a sunroom. They built over the hot tub. No other way to get it out. Your comment made me smile. I was dreading this job, cheers mate!

LOL.. No.. The owner of the home was a Fireman and when we delivered the new Spa to his house he had a bunch of them show up to help with the install it was done in less the 2 minutes.

If it was so easy, with help, to bring in the new hot tub/spa could these same ‘friends of the fireman’ not have removed the old one in ‘2 minutes’ to a truck/trailer where it could be recycled/sold to new owners. It seems to be a wicked waste of our earth’s resources just to cut up and discard, especially if it is still in working order, not to mention landfill where it will never disintegrate or degrade. Every little bit helps!

@@rosaliegreen2972 This hot tub was not worth saving and the dump in this area will not take them whole...so we will cut them up on sight and haul them off.

Please Please don't use a chain saw...Very hard to control and it throws the fiberglass chips everywhere ( use safety glasses)The sawzall weather it is cordless or not will cut it up very fast with very little mess to clean up.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no... Some spas are so thick that those type of cutters will not work very well. you have to be very careful that you do not pinch the blade. At high RPMs they break apart and it can be dangerous with flying parts of fiberglass and cutting wheel parts. Be careful Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

@@spaman5440 you said cutting is always your "last resort". I assume (otherwise) you would haul it out. What tools would you use to get it moved to and in a truck or trailer?

@@royturnwall6467 We made almost all of the tools that we use to move Hot tubs We have special dollies for moving from the front yard to the back that a job like this would of been done a less then 5 min as well as Air bags for lifting that could flip over and car or truck on the road.they were custom made for moving hot tubs. Because of the weight of the Hot tub and the fact that not all hot tubs are made the same and if you don't know the little details about how the hot tub you are moving is made if you do it wrong you will either end up getting hurt or damaging the spa. So I've really never gotten into doing videos on that topic. Now what I will say is I would never move a tub in a trailer/truck from point (A) to point (B) with the hot tub on end I would lay it flat ( This is on a used tub or new) Ive seen movers put them in a trailer with one side up on the side of the trailer and the other on the floor on an angle so to speak and it just destroyed the hot tub. Always lay it flat... From the factory they will sometimes be shipped standing up THEY ARE NEW ..when its set in the yard for several years and are no longer new and you go to move them sometime they don't make the move . I like a blade with the least amount of teeth per inch..and the best price I can find.(Any Brand of Blade is good for this type of work) .I find that I go through a lot of blades through out the month and I don't want to pay a lot of coin for something like that ..As for the saw or any of my tool I want the best money can buy..Hope this Helps and Thanks for Watching , Sharing & SUBSCRIBING

@@spaman5440 Could you be more specific? A blade for steel, or wood, etc. I tried a carbide grit blade and could barely move it.

They start at around $200.00 and go up from there...every job we do is different there are no two jobs alike. Like this job for instance the home owner wanted it removed so they could put in another Hot Tub..So we cut it up and hauled it away in under an hour or so. When we delivered the new Hot Tub the home owner got several of his fellow fire fighter friend to help move it over the two foot wall and into place..We as a Spa Moving company will not lift a hot tub over any wall ! It depends if you are trying to save it and keep it in good condition or not ? If its old and you are just going to trash it...Just do it the same way we kinda did this one remove all the motors and pack you can. start with what you can get to and start cutting it up.If you have enough room to move it forward get a couple guys to lift the front a couple inches off the ground and slide a 2 inch round PVC under it and you will be able to move it forward away from the wall Now if you want to get it out of the hole to move it to another house or place on the property? you go to the PVC again to get it away from the wall so you can get straps under it and lift it with a crane...Can't get a crane close enough now you need a lot of man power! you need to get the spa so you can tip it up to do so you need room on both side of the spa to work.. so so will lift it up and the side it told you until it is close enough to the wall to lay it on top and then lift it over to set it down on the other side... I use the cheapest blades I can find...and with the least amount of teeth per inch...You are going to break several(reason I want cheep ones) And if there are to many teeth per inch It will not clear itself out fast when you are cutting the fiber glass.. No not heavy at all..We have done hundreds of removals like this over the years and two workers can handle most pieces(.My Rule of Thumb..6x6= 4 Pieces. 7x7= 6 Pieces. 8x8= 8 Pieces ) If in doubt cut the Hot Tub into smaller pieces.. Thanks for watching.

My hands are like gloves I work out side in the fresh air... and no need for hearing protection doing this kind of a job.
