I agree with you on TM a lot of manufacturers are still producing AEGs that are mechanically identical to the original TMs released in the 90s (I.e. cyma 028), they just done a really good jobs and it’s hard to top the basic design of them

This toy actually was able to over-hop easily .28 BB's. With this weight the hop is about 60% engaged to hop them straight, meaning it is room for more. After a thorough barrel cleaning no issues with accuracy and consistency, at least in semi-auto. I did not requested a downgrade in power, and this little thing sits right in UK DMR limits - 425-430 FPS with .2 BB's, which is way too hot for this little toy. But the gearbox is surprisingly well shimmed - no play at any wheel and no grinding noises - and I would not hurry to open it very soon to throw in a weaker spring. For all new owners info, a proper bedding in for this toy you get after a barrel cleaning an a good 200-300 BB's put through. And another thing, I really had big issues placing in the 9.6 volt battery the replica came with, so from the beginning I was using a 8.4V from a CYMA AK. I did not want to force the cables with stock cover and run into electrical issues.

the wear on the spur gear is probably because of the anti-reversal latch, which is a common problem for V6 gearbox since the AR latch is right above the spur gear and very likely to touch each other, I've tried to shim the AR latch a bit higher and it basically solved the issue

I would need that video 2 months ago when i was fiddling with my P90 from CYMA.

That gives me a pretty good idea where mine has gone wrong, think my nozzle is goosed, good to see they've changed the hop unit a little since mine was made too, mine is a god awful white one an it doesn't put on as much pressure as yours

Could be helpful if you analize if some parts are from v2/v3 gearbox, like the tapper plate, or the cilinder head. Love your vids ❤️

I purchased the licensed one in the USA. It has the same numbers on the gearbox shell 06-01A but all the bushings are round, not oval like the one in this video. Also the trigger is a little different. It has an adjuster plate that allows you to adjust the position of the trigger bar. I assumed it is made by CYMA but maybe not since it's a little different.

Will putting a longer barrel (the goldish color actual barrel) improve range/accuracy? Along with perhaps a better hop-up?

I owned the same P90 and I put a Guarder upgrade kit in it with a ProWin hop up, a Promy tight bore and Promy purple rubber, and a ASG 30k and it was a great gun but I never liked the trigger I really wish CYMA or another brand would revamp it with a quick change spring guide like the old King Arms P90's and add a micro switch trigger maybe even a short stoked gear set because they make great CQB guns but I sold mine to a buddy that was getting into airsoft and he's been using it for 3 years now

I've upgraded the nozzle, barrel, piston head, bucking, and another part of the hop up Are theses good upgrades? It's so I get very good compression and I'm trying to get more accuracy

anyone know any replacements for the two small screws on the button to release up upper receiver and the spring that is on the barrel (to connect the "chamber" to the charging handle springs)? they flung to all hell during assembly, and now i cant put my gun back together. please let me know i cant find any replacements.

Your compression parts are so Lmao hahaha (there is... almost no compression), I just got mine CYMA P90 and I will take down the gearbox soon, but straight out of the box it shoots around 410FPS which is a bit hot, curious about my compression parts and see how the hell those parts let bbs fly 410FPS, anyway nice vid bro!

Just got mine. Unfortunately the aftermarket battery I bought for it came broken. (Ipower 9.6V 1600mAh p90 type NiMh) Now I wonder if the battery that comes with it even fits the stock and also if the battery will even work.

Fuck me! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was a horror show, release the bloody spring pressure before cracking the box open! Also all P90s use a long type motor... I mean I’m surprised you couldn’t tell, you looked right at the bloody shaft... also look at the distance between the motor housing and the bevel, even if you’d never taken apart a P90 it’s obviously a long. 🤣 Jesus lad, some master teching going on right here, when’s the DSG build vid coming out. 🤣
