You are such a great teacher! Thank you for all of your knowledge regarding this pretty flower:) I just found out I'm having my first baby granddaughter and she will be named "Veronica" and that is what brought me here initially--and now I am planting this flower in my garden in honor of new baby! Also, I'm now a new sub to your channel! Looking forward to going through your vids:)
Thank you for your kind words! 😊 Also, congratulations on your first granddaughter. What a very exciting time and what a beautiful name for her! I love that you are buying Veronica plants for your yard. Every time they bloom you will think of her. How lovely! 💜
This was so timely, I was just looking at my Veronica thinking I need to prune it. Also I noticed mine has powdery mildew, should I cut it all the way down? Thanks for your awesome videos!
Thank you! Many times, powdery mildew shows up on plants when it's very humid outside and/or when the plants are too close to each other so there is poor circulation around them. I would just deadhead / prune it for now and then cut it down at the end of the season. 😊🌺
You know what's funny? I often confuse both plants as well. So it's not just you! 😅 Veronica tends to be a bit taller, with somewhat waxy deep green leaves growing from upright stems. Salvia grows its leaves right from the ground in more of a rosette and the leaves themselves are a grayish-green with a slight fuzziness to them. I hope that helps. 🌻😊
