I am getting alot of pushback from people who keep arguing the socialization aspect of homeschool. The approach you provided is exactly what I needed to arm myself with! These are people who I love and care about the most but they aren't supporting me on this. I think your approach will help me alot get through this. Thank you!
You are brave!! It is hard to have the people you care about react negatively in your homeschool choices. I am sorry about that. Stay strong and keep focused on your kiddos. thanks for this. i searched this topic. i have neighbours who try to quiz my child to see what he knows and does not know, they say that they think he "should be in school"..... i am super sensitive anyway, with almost no skin let alone thick skin, and as you said, it stays with you. your advice is helpful to me! subbed. i want to say... how do you live with yourself whilst suffocating, traumatising, exposing children to sex ed, bullying, materialism, lies in curriculum????? hahaha, not a good plan but i get hurt, angry and defensive. xo
my fave is when someone who is very poorly educated voices an opinion. 🤦 my reply: "we're homeschooling so he doesn't turn out like you." 😂🤣 -i know we should be nice/kind, but i find being blunt/funny sticks better. -& i enjoy being confrontational & petty sometimes. 😂🤣 -but thank you for the high road advice; i'll consider it for maybe a different scenario/audience whom i wouldn't want to offend. 🙏
