Hey Julie, I feel like my theme may be something to do with business and computer science - I love bringing students together and empowering them to code and create as student developers at hackathon events that I run. I serve as the Executive Director of TeenHacks LI, a high school hackathon on Long Island, NY. I am taking 4 AP exams next fall and I’m wondering for the next year if I should really take on that many AP courses. I’m also afraid that if I do take regular us history instead of APUSH, I’ll be placed in a class of students that aren’t as motivated or hardworking and it’ll just bring down my way of working. I’m not sure what to do, I have time though. Also, I just really care about TeenHacks LI and my work there and I care a lot about the community, I just feel unmotivated with school lately too. I feel like I could be doing so many better things if hw didn’t exist. How do I get myself to be studious again?
@@katiehe7882 take it. The class is much better than normal us history, if you are taking a bunch of ap classes rn then you shouldnt normal us history due to the simplicity of the content. You will gain nothing from the normal course.
Currently in 8th grade and I plan on taking AP Human Geography and AP Seminar in 9th. I know it’s too late but ap human and ap comp Sci principles are popular in 9
My school has a scholarship program with one of the best community colleges in the country (I cant name it due to location leaks). So I dont strive to take that many. I plan on going to the community college and then transferring to a great school like Northwestern for example. The community college will transfer some of my ap credits and itll make it so that I can take higher classes to appeal more to those great 4 years. This is also easier since I dont have to worry about my gpa or my courseload very much. So I mean yeah I agree with that for people who are going straight to a 4 year but I just wanted to note that if you are going to a college before the next one they dont care as much about your highschool career
If you are only taking ap classes related solely to your major you’re in for rejection letters. To get to an ivy they rely heavily on english courses as reading material will be abundant in college. Only taking science aps for stem majors only is definitely not good. Trust me, I graduated from devry.
