I'm only 22 and hurt my back at 15 7 years of doctors not knowing what was wrong I did 3 of this guy's stretches and I almost cried with joy with relief. Thank you so much for putting this out for free. Keep up God's work man thank you.
Great way for a person to traction and decompress their lower back on their own! I teach these same techniques with all my patients suffering from disc herniations! Awesome video Dr Rowe
This channel is one of my goto channels for spine care. The 'relief in 30 seconds' catch phrase is off course a RU-vid prerequisite to please the algorithm. Suffering from acute lower back pain myself from time to time, I started doing a mobility routine 6 months ago during 10 minutes every morning and this really has been a game changer. No more lower back pain and much better mobility. I focus on hip mobility with 90-90's, lower back with Pretzel stretches and T-spine with thread the needle exercices and shoulder health with a child pose variation focussing on retracting the scapula. There is lots of good material on this channel to come up with a routine that works for you.
1:00 😂 no wheels 😂 I love your sense of humor, we haven’t tried this method of decompression yet but we’ve tried all your other ones and they work great! 💪😎
Thank you so much!! I'm literally having to soak in Dr Teal's power soak Epsom salts both before work and after work to function so I'll definitely check out that link!
Wow.. These exercises provide an excellent way to alleviate back pain. The instructions are presented with great precision and clarity, allowing anyone to follow them without confusion. Fantastic!
Thank you so much for this video! I had a pinched nerve in my lower back and I did the first exercise with the chair. I heard a click after about the third time and I guess that’s what did the trick. ❤
Good afternoon, Doctor Rowe! The spring season is looking really good outside your windows. I can't wait to try the stretch where you lean onto the chair while facing it!
Oh my God! what a big luck! I came across this useful video ,Iam suffering fr backpain since this morning ,n for sure I am going to try all this .Thanks fr Mauritius.
ive been doing this method of decompression for years now, it has improved my life tenfold. such a crucial stretch for a gym enthusiast and concretor. I often get pops and cracks from it, its literally a life saver, I tend to always aggravate my facet joints which this stretch helps so much with
i recently went on a snowboarding trip and since getting back right after being done, my foot has felt numb and tingly i’ve seen a lot of things on the internet leading me in the direction that it may be a lower back problem and i’ve been really tight. anything i can do to get rid of this? going on 3 days now
Using arm strength for these is hard for elderly but all the other ones are fine. I am 72 and my wrist cannot handle the weight. I use hanging over the bed or arm of couch.❤
@@MohamedRafiq-dy2yd I have a folder on RU-vid of most of Dr. Rose’s video, but being a senior citizen I can only do the ones for seniors. I am a prescriber of Dr.Rowe for some years now.
A great set of exercises for relieving back pain. Very precise, unambiguous instructions are given in a unhurried manner. So that anyone can follow them without any doubts. Great help indeed. I have noticed that all videos here help address specific problems. Most of them do not need any elaborate equipments. So, can be done easily at home. Another plus point is they are all short duration exercises. I am sure many, many people would have benefited from these well-thought-out videos. Thanks a ton for the same.
Hello Doc, I have a question. When I do the second exercise - it works the best for me - my back start to hurt horribly. Is that supposed to happen? Because I don't know how to interpret the relief, it may be it but I want to make sure. Also, thank you for the videos, I've excersise another one 10 minutes ago and I could finally bent without pain after like two months which is bad when you're only in your mid twenties but well, it is whtat it is :D

Dr, thanks for you video, Iam 52 years. I had leg pain at upper side of my calf muscle for 2 years, I had various treatment with both Neauro, Ortho and Vascular Doctors, not useful to solve & also massages on my back, I watched your videos 4 months back for the same decompression technic, it really helped me in reducing the pain, Alhamdullila, thanks Now i support sharing your videos for the affected people's
I previously replied to another video saying ways to pop your back on a commercial kitchen countertop with a bottom shelf, THIS video shows the way i meant. Put your feet on the bottom shelf and do as shown with your hip crease on the edge like this but your knees under the counter. You can rotate your hands all the way to your fingers off the front edge
Thank you sir. My chiro here in Chicago is just a quick in and out shop... Good for a quick tune up, but they don't do much in the sense of "here are preventative measures or excersizes so you don't have to keep coming back... " Appreciate that portion from you. ✌️
This is cool. I sometimes use the captains chair at the gym to let my legs hang down and twist from Side to side. Like what you are doing here! Glad to know I was on to something!!
I would definitely as your doctor about that. I would imagine early stage yeah, but late I don't know if the strain would be good. I'm not a doctor though, I would for sure call them. I remember when my wife was pregnant I was way to over protective, lol and I called our doctor all the time, they didn't seem to mind.
Your videos are great Doc. Do you have any recommendations for strengthening exercises to tackle nocturnal pain on the left and right flanks? I'm a side sleeper, but am really struggling to stay asleep without waking up in pain.
@Jean Bean Thanks for being so kind as to offer me advice Jean. I have tried that and - while it helps my hips - the pain is a bit higher up than that.
Hi, gratitude for imparting your valuable knowledge all your video's are absolutely amazing , please can you share points for excessive sweating from hands and feet (hyperhidrosis) problem and for healthy kidneys. 🙏👌🌹
@drrowe Thank you for this video! It’s really helpful as someone who sits all day for work. I’m wondering if you know what might be happening for me if recently I started feeling my back seemingly decompress when I sit down and then either simply sit up straight or lean forward with my arms on my legs and extend my body. This is new for me and happens many times throughout the day. I recently started weightlifting again, but I’m pretty sure it started before I started lifting again. I guess what I’m wondering is whether this is normal or not!
Hi I've had a bulging disc for 10yrs with about a dozen episodes of sciatica since, I went to the NHS a few Yr ago and they said it was caused by a tight periformis muscle but the last few months my hamstring goes in to spasm when either kneeling or stretching out during the night so I booked into the NHS physio again, when I mentioned the periformis they said it's a thing of the past doing these exercises and told me I need to stretch my sciatic nerve as its tight causing my hamstring pain, is this something you have heard about as periformis stretching seem to help me , Thanks for any info Tom
Dr. Rowe I try to do decompression exercises like this but always feel very dizzy and a rush of blood to my head :/ Any way to work up to such exercises to combat this? Anything from hanging on pull-up bar to lifting myself on the arms of a chair while sitting gives me this effect.
I may just have a normal life again if I watch enough of these videos. I'm getting a little tired of going to chrio twice a week (I straighten out fine, but don't stay that way).
My back pain has turned me into a chiropractor. I do these stretches without anyone telling me. My body tells me like what would give me comfort and i do it
Out of all the back reliefs, these are my top 3 😊 I also regularly do a "death hang" from a bar (or anything I can freely suspend myself from), that one also feels amazing, especially with controlled drops to intensify the stretch 😊
