Check your local low before deleting your DPF, is is illegal to drive on the public road and highways with this modification. this video only for learning purposes. #DIY #CumminsISX
I have 943000 plus mile on my dpf filter I just wash it every other year hot water in my wife's pantry sink. Yes I catch heat but send her off to get some shoes all problems solved.
So after all their extra work to clear the air (supposedly)this is the end products ,same on whoever came up with all these nonsense and adding 40%to purchase price of a new truck and fucking up the industry ,this guy had to do what he is doing nobody and nobody works to put money in mechanics and dealerships pockets , well done all ways look after your family first .
Eeeenk, wrooong. The DPF is about as restrictive as a catalytic converter on a car exhaust. The only thing he's doing is making the truck throw more contaminants into the atmosphere. If he'd repair the emissions system correctly, he wouldn't need to "delete" it.
@@JosephArata The DPF is non restrictive until it clogs, then it blows back into the engine destroying the turbo. And you're crazy if you think it's not releasing contaminants while in place. I would breathe that crap in filtered or not. Cigarettes have filters and they still kill you.
@@ttgk8506 your truck has a DPF problem if ANY smoke comes out of the DPF and needs a parked regeneration weekly. Keep thinking that old school and all of your children's children will die from gamma and x-ray radiation leaking through the atmosphere.
@Phillip van Goethem the fuel cost to complete an active regeneration while driving under a load is far less than you apparently think. This technology is not going away, so get with the program, or get locked up in prison for operating equipment that damages the atmosphere. I don't want my children's children to have brain cancer from gamma and x-ray radiation leaking through the atmosphere, because of your idiotic choices.
You can always tell a true foreigner by the OSHA certified work sandals, flip flops or pretty much anything that shows all your toes during work. I'm not saying they aren't smart because that would be a lie. Every video I've come across on RU-vid has been a foreign truck driver showing you how to beat the system. I appreciate it, even if you don't wear shoes. My grandpaw always told me, you never trust a man who shows his toes in public. I finally realized my grandpaw was a west by God Virginia real hillbilly! 😳 🦶👳♂️💂♂️
Well I done something similar on my 389 except I left the dpf there and ran a straight pipe from the downpipe behind the dpf unit and connected to the stacks that way I can go back in and hook the DPF back up when I go in for emissions check or the dealership then take it back loose and I don't have to worry about that shit.
@@SootyMangabey. no bro your wrong, you only need to delete to electronicly bypass. What this is, is ingenious it is tricking the computer via the sensors that everything is running as it should. No computer needed.
@@ryanmall DOC doesn't not cause issues. EGR is actually more problematic. DPF and SCR systems are actually ment to significantly reduced Nox which. Any oil that makes it past the dpf will destroy the system
@@LBZDreamer the whole system is the issue it is piece of crap garbage that does not work when it regions it dumps all the pollution out so what is a point in having it
Hi I did what you suggested and it seems to be working, my question is what about the white pieces in the exhaust before and after the filter (you can see them from minutes 6:50 in the video) , they seem to be the same material of the filter, do you remove those too or leave them in. Thanks
Vlad Wightriver Thank you, just to make sure you understand me, I am talking about the white ceramic parts inside the exhaust infront of the filter and after it , see the picture in the link below, I pointed an arrow to each of them. Thanks again drive.google.com/file/d/1w_7SfwPGhpgTI7zdTL2yQTQLqu2KRPI6/view?usp=sharing
No, this man just destroyed this truck. The ECM has to be reprogrammed, there are over thousands of parameters/tables in the ECM that need to be checked and or adjusted. Clipping wires and removing cans is not a delete.
@@eligarza2435 On a Cummins, you need an Inline 6 reader, Insite and Calterm software, along with someone that actually knows what they are doing to properly reprogram the ECM. There is much more to it than loading a file, you will need the overlays for your particular motor that matches the CPL code on the motors Data Plate, the one found on the valve cover. And those cans need to be hollowed out completely, DOC/DPF and SCR, all of it has to come out, you want to see metal.
Just put a full delete on the thing , get rid of all of that shit under that step mount a muffler under there and you’re good to go ! Lot less weight also
If there is way of cheating the actual pressure sensor into thinking there is the necessary back pressure, then the code will be gone. Also when the computer clock and miles reach the replacement point you have no choice but to plug into a computer and reset it. Not sure how many times you can reset with the same DPF code though. Eventually you might have to replace the filter, or just using another filter's code, for the same model engine! I don't think the computer is connected to a central network, and its only independent for that truck, so you can probably use as many different DPF codes as you want, problem is if the code is registered in the DOT system, to another truck, then you might get in a very, very hot exhaust...LOL. Best thing to do is reset it until no more available entries, then bite the bullet and buy a new DPF.
Hey Vlad. I have volvo vnl 670 with cummins isx 15 500hp. My egr and dpg was deleted in chicago area 5 years ago. My question is. i replace the turbo and actuator but before they replaced my turbo they couldn’t figure out what is wrong with my truck cause it could’t start ok. They were messing around. now they put back in and the truck has no power and i got code sa 0 spn 411 fmi 2 it says egr differential pressure sensor. Why is this sensor even poping on my dashboard when egr is deleted ? possible forgot to put plug back in? is this sensor still working ? please help
I did an ECU flash, and physically removed the EGR and EGR cooler, as well as the DPF..... but I’m running a straight pipe. ALL emissions sensors are deleted
@@deanlutgert8292 LOL. EGR does NOT cool the engine, it cools the used dirty exhaust air before redirecting it into the engine again, full of diesel soot, which clogs up the engine and blackens the oil with black soot blow by. The engine will last longer, make more power with it removed. The EGR is equivalent to you breathing into a plastic bag, then recycling the exhaust air
@@VladMaktrucks thanks a lot, so for that reason many trucks have been selling with the DEF deleted, I was concerned about that because I am new with my license and I want to buy my truck, but I don't want any trouble with DOT inspection.
All def is anyway is pig piss and water 2 to 1 ratio. You could piss in the tank and it would work. I wouldn't ever spend money on Def. I hope all the truckers catch on to the scam that that they've pulled on everyone and start pissing in your tank too. Or just add water.
seems like its alot of work when all you need is ecm calibration after you hollow out dpf. your still choking the engine with your bbq pit looking contraption you made Sincerly, Doc
Do this, and you will simply burn your motor up. I am fixing one of these abortions right now, Cummins CM-871. What a F'ing mess, Big Tuner Shop, stripped the motor of everything except the VG Turbo. When I removed the turbo, chunks of soot and carbon came pouring out, I have no idea how it held together, it is being replaced, along with a new actuator. The DPF/DOC cans only had a few holes drilled in them, instead of being hollowed out, that is what destroyed the turbo. Just like our friend did here in the video. They removed the EGR Cooler and did not install a coolant bypass kit to cool the #5 and #6 cylinders. So, need a bypass kit... I believe I caught this in time before any more serious engine damage occured. Then they replaced the factory water pump with a unit off of a CM-570, so I need a new water pump and housing too. Then all of the RTV (Mr Gasket) that they used on that pump. Now I have to strip down the cooling system in search of RTV boogers. Then the high heat issues, going to have to change out the oil cooler, oil and coolant thermostats, and God knows what else. Right now I am $8000 deep into this mess, when all said and done, I think with parts, and my labor, $15,000 easily. If only the previous owner would have simply completed an EGR Tuneup and replaced the DOC and DPF filters, none of this would have happened. There was no need to strip this motor of thousands of dollars in parts, destroy the turbo, and all of the other issues it is now facing. And I have not even gotten into the programming yet.
@@VladMaktrucks What year is your truck? Back pressure and VG turbos do not play. The tables in the ECM are in need of adjustment, back pressure is old school. Then the fuel trim levels at the injectors, along with the timing, there is a lot that needs to be done to properly, and safely, to delete a Cummins motor. There are over 100,000 parameters, and then you have the files for each specific truck make and model. Most of these so called tuners use one file, say a Volvo file, and just upload it to the ECM, totally neglecting the manufacturers CPL (Critical Parts List). This is what your ECM uses to operate all of the systems on your particular truck, the sensors, air volume, fueling, etc. It is not as simple as gutting a can or two.
I know someone who can close the egr/ delete the def system and bore the dpf filter inside.... leaving all hardware component's on the truck as visually original... he does this electronically through the ECM computer programming for 3k... respond to me for more details.
They are designed that way so many cycles then they have to be replaced. This is actually part of maintenance. Remember its a filter to trap particulars
@CarlosChip Morales I don't know if he was being sarcastic but yes, it is illegal to delete your DPF or anything on the aftertreatment system installed on the truck from the factory. Not sure if they would be able to tell if it's deleted or not going thru the scales (unless you just told them). But if they so happen to find out during an inspection, you will be shut down in a heart beat. So don't get caught bud👍🏻
CarlosChip Morales pretty much... but I’ve been in scales and had EPA on site inspect my truck. Also saw CARB inspecting truck next to mine while in CA at the scale. Also no legitimate shop will work on your truck because the fines are $10k if they caught.

I hate this piece of crap system, to expensive Mantenaince, and now with the BIODIESEL OR BIOMAS DIESEL. This shiit clogs the epf filter it make a lot of ashes
Well, dont get your fuel at Loves, I drive 07 KW and past few years mostly buying my fuel at mom&pops truck stop and it's better and cheaper than loves and other truck stops. At least it's not B20. I usually look at color of diesel if its yellow as loves sign, stop pumping. Go to other truck stop. And never buy fuel at these states like IA, IL, MO.
@CarlosChip Morales Haha your full of shit. Even straight piped trucks have issues at that mileage. Your truck is suffocating and i bet you already rebuilt it 5 times.
Not until they catch ya then problem not worth the time spent. And the money spent well can’t take it with ya might as well put it back into the truck if driving down the road in traffic all your life is what you want to do . I’d rather go fishing.
I think if you do it by your self is not a big problem ....the problem is whe you have a shop and modify this shit and you get pay for doing something ilegal
I’m not a truck driver so I don’t know, but don’t states do random inspections to make sure the emissions equipment is in place and working on trucks that are equipped?
@vnkable I’m asking a question. Not really taking (sic), but typing. Anyhow, I wonder if the fine for an owner who did some sort of modification would be like what the Diesel Bros. got. That’s all.
@@dh-_1011 Trucks don't go through emissions inspections except in California. In California CARB sometimes sets up a checkpoint to do a visual inspection but thats it.

cosgrove notts I talk from experience my Peterbilt’s get nothing but problems because of this little filter bullshit. If you owned a truck you’d understand
Listen here boi, because of modern emissions systems trucks are more prone to breakdowns and burn significantly more fuel. Emissions systems in no way make these trucks better for the environment. I hear there are dpf filters now available for your roor, might wanna get one.
