I enjoyed a chalk board (shaped as a dog) welcoming my dogs by their names at the Kimpton Hotel lobby. I’ve never forgotten that and that gesture was 15+ years ago. In saying that, I haven’t been back to that hotel brand since! I recently stayed at a gorgeous rental that offer a store on the honor system and I loved everything about it. I did make a small purchase and I browsed that store 5 times during a 2 night stay.

Richard I’m definitely wanting to try this philosophy. I think I have a house that this could work in. Can I ask a few questions about the finances: 1. It seems many of these items are covered by the cost of nightly rent (foyer experience with snacks, decorations for their special event), and some of these items are upsells (private chefs, equipment rentals). Where is the line drawn? At what point is a specialization charged for above the nightly rate and how do you present the fees and billing system to them?
