They certainly earned their pay! Having the knowledge and ability to do it all by hand comes in handy when all of that fancy equipment isn't available. Never get comfortable with the easy stuff. Always be prepared to do it the good old fashioned hard way.

That looks fun! I’m trying to decide on a curb for my driveway. We are on a slope so all water runs to that side and washes dirt onto the sidewalk.

The more I watch these videos the more I see how bad of a job was done to my property before I bought my house. Now I'm left with getting things fixed. Hopefully I can make good decisions off of the bad ones from the former owners (Do it yourselfers). I see where the mistakes were made. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and process. seems like a good job, but I would never put the rebar i direct contact with sand. I would have added a small thin concrete layer or plastic foil that could also help in playing a good role in retaining the concrete water and avoid it being absorbed by the direct contact with soil.

Funny how I've seen videos from here where they were demoing a driveway with brick inlays and now here they are putting brick inlays in a driveway. I can just see 10 years from now, they'll be taking out their driveway on this home to get rid of the brick inlays! LOL

They did this one Mexican style with good ole Emanuel Labor. It's easy to get spoiled with skid- steers. I already know this is going to look great. That little Makita doesn't play, impressive!. I was wondering if that tree about 9 minutes in will be an issue with roots so close to driveway?

Why on earth did you not use a 1.5 ton mini digger and excavate the drive. Saves all that back breaking digging and the digger would load the barrows its a no brainer We make easy work of it in the uk

@@OdellCompleteConcrete i usually do the edging then use the top of the brick to pour the driveway never had an issue with it, it's a lot of unnecessary work however it is effective but time-consuming. The other issue is the bricks used should always be soild clay bricks not pavers with a 90mm depth in the track or 120mm if on edge not flat.

You seem to work so well with your men, do they work for you or with you? I had a landscape business years ago where my helpers worked with me. I just couldn't count on them showing up. I never let prima donna workers stay after they outed themselves. The no shows ruined the biz. I don't. You seem to work real well with your crew.

really you shouldn't join brick and concrete why because one is a clay base material and the other is volcanic base material they have different properties when it comes to breathable products. as you can see at the start of the video where there making the mortar in the barrow if you look at the old edging that was done its cracked and shifted this could happen again.
