In part 1 of this series, we went through the process of demolishing and reconstructing a 3 bedroom house in Spintex. In part 2, we continue from where we ended.
In this video, we do plastering, tiling, ceilings, installation of windows and doors, and begin work on the fence wall.

Glad to see that you have proper scaffolding at the back because safety is any issue in Ghana where I went on my walkabouts in majority of the cases

The roof could have air hole with a very fine mesh so as to keep the under ceiling cool also the under side of the roof could also have air gaps with a fine mesh so that the heat can escape

Good to know ceiling insulation is being used in Ghana to control heat and improve noise reduction. Like it very much. 👍 Quick question please 🙏 is the insulation material very expensive? What will be the cost to insulate 20ft by 20ft room?

There are different types of insulation materials and each one comes with a different price. Some are more expensive than others but it usually comes down what you want to use for your property.

@@Jacobwestgh thanks for your quick response. I was looking into attic/ ceiling insulation with R- Value of R30- R49. I guess now that I know it's available in Ghana, no need to ship some anymore. Who do I contact for an estimate?

First time have seen insulation in Ghana, The west put insulation to maintain heat indoors why tropical Ghana ?

Insulation material basically helps to regulate temperatures within buildings. In our part of the world, it helps keep our rooms cool on especially warm days. It also helps reduce the noise that is generated when rain drops hit the roofing sheets.

Guys doing a great jon but do ensure your workers are protected by wearing the right PPE for the job especially working with insulation materials. A simple mask for your worker will do.

Low Cost, faster installation, design esthetics. Also safer from storm damage

There needs to be a mobile glass cutter who will come and install the glass for u into the frame

All the windows are made at the factory and assembled on site. Cutting the glass on site may be fine for some people but we would rather the windows are all fabricated at the factory and just assembled on site.

Planning to do mine with sheets extending to the back (no parapet at the back) with normal ceiling vents. By the way, what's that insulation material?

whats the name of this type of windows? black glass, black frames

This is a casement window. We used black profiles for the frame and the glass was made with a black tint.
