You can use bicarbonate of soda instead. I've done mine this way, saving couple quid or so. And it worked perfectly well. Bicarbonate of soda is actually for that. I've added a good amount to the water (like 4-5 big spoons) and started the process with that. My Tassimo is quite happy since than.
@@ronaldparry6147 it really does work because I cleaned my dolic gusto with bicarbonate soda and it came up lovely after cleaning alot of cloudy water out of it... good job. Handy tip but I felt my tassimo deserved a proper service but know this for emergancy cleaning for the future
Very clear instructions thank you 😊. I don’t know why Bosch put in that stupid leaflet with numbered diagrams that are no help whatsoever, if you’re not going to be helpful then save your company money by not printing them to start with, just pop a message in each box to go to a RU-vid video, preferably this one!
Totally agree with previous reviewer ... No nonsense description of the actions to be taken. Bosch leaflet is useless, and the video they produced, although better, has fancy music, and no voiceover, which leaves you unaware of exactly what should happen (example the different noise the machine makes while cleaning). The irony is you give your advice for free, whereas somebody in Bosch Communications Dept will be paid hefty salaries to come up with less than ideal information... Oh well...Well done to you, Sir!
I'm glad to have found this video! The instruction leaflet that comes with the Tassimo is not the most informative. I hate silly little numbered diagrams 🙄 much prefer clear simple video instructions like this one 😊 Thankyou!
Great video! Thanks dude. I followed the instructions but it still wouldn't start descaling, but then I realised that the window where you put the capsule was covered in some coffee granules. Wiped it clean & it's descaling! Thanks again 😊
Thanks for vid, much appreciated! I live in Scotland where we generally have soft water. I’ve got the same Bosch coffee maker and it does a good cup of coffee. I’m surprised that the red light has come on the machine that I’ve purchased. We don’t have a problem with “hard water” which makes me think that these companies force you to buy these cleaning tablets. Not meant to sound like a wild conspiracy as the machine gets cleaned at least once a week. That said, I will purchase some tablets as I don’t want the machine to get blocked. Good vid though! Thank you!
No problem and thanks for your comment. You could try shopping around for the tablets as there are lots of non-branded ones available which will help save a few quid. Ebay would be a good start 👍😁
I have just had the red light come on for the first time and have come here for advice. I'm in Yorkshire and never get scale on anything so did a dummy descaling with plain water and sure enough the light has gone out. Clearly there is no sensor, just a cycle counter that turns the light on. My Bullshit meter has gone into the red zone too now!
Thanks for the vid m8, machine had been out of action for about 6 months before I came across this video, now I can drink my Cappuccinos again. Also, the googly eyes on your machine gives me a smile every time I look at it!
Thanks for this video! I had already followed the instructions in the leaflet but wasn’t sure if the clicking and small drops were normal or if my machine wasn’t working. Great video, cheers 🙌🏻
Well I can not believe how easy that was. As Lulu says the Instructions are useless. Now believe me or believe me not last year I threw away a pretty new machine because I thought it was faulty and couldn't find my receipt. So Thank you so much for your video. Luckily this time round I have only wasted 2 tablets yesterday. But today my tassimo is working great thanks to your video. 👏👏👏🙏
Thank you so much, you are a life saver. Apologies for calling you Mark in my previous comment, not sure why I called you Mark. Thanks again for the useful, helpful video.
Checked your video to see which buttons to press as the instructions aren't too clear as the pictures have the thumb covering 2 or all the buttons. Thanks this helped. Also I like the googly eyes, think I'm going to do the same 😀
No problem at all. And yes definately get some googly eyes, you can't go wrong with them!. Although it does mean that you will need to give your machine a name 😁
Thank you for that, I was given the machine by someone else, I actually used dishwasher cleaning tablets 🙈🤣 hopefully they will do the same thing. Again thank you because it's been doing my head in, I love the Baileys Machiatto 😋
Thanks for your comment. Errrmm yes I think these tablets will be better than dishwasher tablets 🤦♂️😆. I haven't tried the Machiatto so I will have to give it a try. ☕
Thanks for this RU-vid because I’ve been doing it wrong for ages till I watched this one, my red light never ever went out! Till I did it this way as someone said below the leaflet was unless x
Thanks for the video. I've only had my machine for about 2 months and it's already complining about needing a descale. I must live in a much harder water area then I thought, or the machine is very sensetive to it.
I use boiled water mixed with cold water in a jug, and allow just one tablet to dissolve for a few seconds then tip it into the coffee machine water tank. Then run the cleaning process. It works in hard water areas like that, so saves a tablet.
Thank goodness for you. I was about to throw my machine out as i thought that because it wasn't running water through and the lights were flashing the thing was broken. I kept trying and got that click clicking and the lights flashing which worried me. I will give it another try tomorrow. I will let you know how i get on. Fingers crossed. Thank you Jaffabite.
